My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Holy cow! This book was HOT!

When Easton Bradbury agrees to escort her brother to one of the many privileged parties he has to attend to ensure his upcoming career as a lawyer all she expects to find there is just boring people talking about boring stuff. Well that’s exactly what she finds besides the mysterious man who can’t seem to be able to stay away from her.

There is so much tension between them that all Tyler Marek wants is to get out of there. He knows there is something between them he shouldn’t ignore especially since she’s able to read his so well. He just needs a night to persuade this mysterious, captivating stranger. Unfortunately all he gets is her first name before they are interrupted. With little to none information about her, Tyler has lost his “Cinderella”.

Until they meet again.

Easton is really excited to start her new job as a teacher. She is prepared to deal with every possible scenario of disaster, except this. Her “prince Charming” is no one else than the next running Senator, Tyler Marek and a parent of one of her students. But that’s ok because Easton is going to act like a professional and deal with it. If only it were that easy…

I don’t know why but forbidden romance is always the best and it’s always so HOT. Why is that?! The tension between them is hot!

Tyler was a wealthy businessman, successful and ready to run for senate. His interest in politics isn’t personal but it’s pure. He is already wealthy so it’s not the money Tyler is after, it’s his need to help society. But Tyler’s life isn’t an easy one. The decisions of his past have cost him his child. His 14-year-old son wants nothing to do with him. Tyler hasn’t been a great father. In fact he hasn’t been one at all. He was neglectful and selfish and he wasn’t too much concerned to leave his young girlfriend alone to deal with the situation. He though his family’s money could fix everything. Now his mistakes have come to haunt him.

Easton has a past of her own. Former tennis pro, she was always in the spotlight until she was betrayed by the person she trusted the most and lost everything. Moving to New Orleans with her brother was supposed to help them heal from the past, create new memories and a better future to look forward to. But Easton can’t really move on.

Misconduct was brilliant! It was almost mind blowing but it mostly was decadent. The connection between Easton and Tyler wasn’t just physical, although that part was HOT, I swear Douglas writes the most erotic scenes, but they shared a deeper connection. There is trust between them although they don’t know each other well. They help each other; Tyler helps her heal and she helps him connect with his son.

The book isn’t only about the romance though. There is a great huge twist in Tyler and Easton’s story which was really shocking!

I could talk about this book all day but if you really want to find out how amazing it is you only have to READ IT!

Excerpt

I narrowed my eyes, ready to object, but he grabbed my elbow and led me away from the group so fast I nearly stumbled along the brick path.

“What are you doing?” I whispered as he moved his hand to my back, continuing to lead me off the patio and into the house.

But he didn’t answer.

Most of the guests were outside, but there were a few scattered about, browsing around the house, as well as servers gathering food and supplies to refresh the tables.

“Tyler, someone will see us,” I whisper-yelled this time, trying to dig in my heels and stop him.

But once we were past the bustle of the kitchen, he took my hand and pulled me down the dimmed hallway and past the foyer to his den.

He opened the door, dragged me inside, and slammed it closed. Releasing my hand, he walked behind his desk and crossed his arms over his chest, locking eyes with me.

What the hell was wrong with him?

The woman simply wanted an introduction. Did he think I didn’t know how to be discreet? She couldn’t possibly have recognized me.

Or maybe he was angry about my behavior before she arrived. I guess I wasn’t so discreet.

“What did he say to you?” Tyler barked out. “When he whispered in your ear?”

I cocked my head, choosing to be stubborn.

“Does it matter?” I played.

He shook his head, letting out a bitter laugh. “Not everything that’s in your head needs to come out of your mouth,” he scolded.

Ah, now we were getting somewhere.

“Are you angry because of what I said or because I drew attention to myself?” I inquired, crossing my arms as well. “Maybe I shouldn’t wear any short skirts either.”

He placed his hands palm down on his desk and glared at me. “That’s not what this is about.”

“Right.” I smiled. “Let me guess. I forgot my place. Legs open, mouth closed, right?”

He pulled up, slowly circling the desk and looking down at me. “Don’t be dramatic.”

My skin tingled, and my heart sped up. “What are you really mad about?”

“What did he say say to you?” His full bottom lip was tight with tension.

“I forgot.” I shrugged. “Something about his dick.”

His entire face hardened. “I should’ve hit him.”

“Then why didn’t you?”

“Because I’m not a child!” he bellowed. “I’m an adult who picks his battles. I don’t just run off, half-cocked, no matter how much I wanted to see him bloody for even getting near you.”

“Too bad,” I taunted, a slight smile on my lips. “If you had, I’d be in here on my knees, sucking your dick right now instead of thinking about his.”

His eyes flared, and he bared his teeth. Grabbing me by the jaw in one hand and hovering his lips just over mine, he slowly swung me around and slammed my ass against the desk, the small tray of file folders on the corner spilling to the floor.

My blood raced. Yes.
