Wait for You

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Jacob:“We also told her you weren’t a serial killer,”

Cam:“That’s a glowing recommendation. Hey, at least he’s not a serial killer. I’m going to put that on my Facebook profile.”

Jacob:“And she compared you to Ted Bundy.”

Avery:“I hate you,I didn’t compare you to Ted Bundy. I just said that you never really know a person. Everyone thought Ted Bundy was a pretty cool guy.”

Cam:“Wow. This just keeps getting better.”

Avery:“Sorry?”

Wait For You is a stand alone book written by J. Lynn, aka Jennifer L. Armentrout.

I was so enthralled by this book that I actually stayed up until late(too late)to finish it and hence i didn't even study for school. But it was definitely worth it!!!

Cam,oh Cam!!He was so sweet, confident(arrogant), smart, funny(hilarious ),very mature and a real gentleman. He was so fun to have around. When he wanted something he took it or at least didn't give up until he had done everything he could. And that's our case with dear Avery. Avery it's not your average girl. I really liked and sympathised her but there were times that she was being very stubborn and I know that after what she's been through it's natural to be cautious and wary but come on she had two wonderful friends who adored her and a superhot neighbor who was so in love with her(of couse I'm talking about Cam)....

Letting your past go is not so easy for everyone and especially for people like Avery!!!No one is perfect and I soooooo loved the fact that Cam wasn't perfect either. We have all done things that we are ashamed of.But the thing that I hated the most was Avery's family.I mean what psychopaths! Her mother was such a b****.Even when her own daughter got brutalized, the only thing she was thinking was what would society say and by society I mean their high class club friends.Really???What kind of mother are you???And as long as her father is concerned I didn't like him either. No matter what his wife did or say he should had at least stood up for his daughter.Ts Ts Ts!!!

I absolutely LOVED the secondary characters!!!!!All of them.I wish there was a book written for them as well.Especially for "Senior Fucktard".He was so amazing.Another thing that I really liked was the tortoise.Absofuckinglutely loveed it!!!!And the cookies!Oh the cookies.

So please do yourselves a favor and go read this extraordinary fantastic book.Absolutely recommended.

Some things are worth waiting for…

Traveling thousands of miles from home to enter college is the only way nineteen-year-old Avery Morgansten can escape what happened at the Halloween party five years ago—an event that forever changed her life. All she needs to do is make it to her classes on time, make sure the bracelet on her left wrist stays in place, not draw any attention to herself, and maybe—please God—make a few friends, because surely that would be a nice change of pace. The one thing she didn’t need and never planned on was capturing the attention of the one guy who could shatter the precarious future she’s building for herself.

Some things are worth experiencing…

Cameron Hamilton is six feet and three inches of swoon-worthy hotness, complete with a pair of striking blue eyes and a remarkable ability to make her want things she believed were irrevocably stolen from her. She knows she needs to stay away from him, but Cam is freaking everywhere, with his charm, his witty banter, and that damn dimple that’s just so… so lickable. Getting involved with him is dangerous, but when ignoring the simmering tension that sparks whenever they are around each other becomes impossible, he brings out a side of her she never knew existed.

Some things should never be kept quiet…

But when Avery starts receiving threatening emails and phone calls forcing her to face a past she wants silenced, she has no other choice but to acknowledge that someone is refusing to allow her to let go of that night when everything changed. When the devastating truth comes out, will she resurface this time with one less scar? And can Cam be there to help her or will he be dragged down with her?

And some things are worth fighting for…

The Host  (The Host #1)

By Stephenie Meyer

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

“I held you in my hand, Wanderer. And you were so beautiful.” -Ian

Wow!!What a stupendous book by an incredible author...

Well I guess you already read the blurb which is very important as it holds the main story of the book. Here are the most signigicant part:

Our world has been invaded by an unseen enemy. Humans become hosts for these invaders, their minds taken over while their bodies remain intact and continue their lives apparently unchanged. Most of humanity has succumbed.

It's an amazing book. The author has created a whole new world which everyone lives in peace with each other but with what cost?Humans no longer exist.

Melanie belongs to the resistance. In other words she is one of the many humans that believe that these aliens have invaded our world and stole our lives. When Melanie gets caught by the Seekers, the healers decide it would be better if they gave her body in a soul that is capable of unlocking Melanie's memories. So they put Wanderer in her.But not everything goes as plant.Although Wanda can see some of Melanie's memories she can also hear her voice. Not good.Initially she is shocked by this fact but as time goes by they both become accustomed to each other. But Melanie wants both her body and family back.So when an extraordinary Seeker keeps following her,Melanie and Wanda know what to do.They try to find her brother and love of her life,Jamie and Jared.Nevertheless, none of them know what to expect of such a journey and surely what they find is beyond what they were looking for.

The Host was beyond anything I was prepared to read.It had so much emotion in every and each page.Especially the second half of the book. There was a variety of characters, each with its own personality, most important of whom were:Jamie,Melanie's brother,Jared,Melanie's boyfriend,Jeb,Mel's uncle,Ian ad Kail, two brothers that both tried to kill Wanda but as the story evolves they reconsider,The doctor,a real doctor which tales care of them but can't really do much considering the circumstances. There were so many characters and all were unique.I thoroughly enjoyed reading about them.

The Host is a must book.I definitely recommend it to anyone interested in this kind of books. It was a new experience for me as well,as it's the first time that I read such a book.I would like to read more though. There are some that say that Stephenie Meyer will write two more books for the series but nothing's sure. Here is the potential title of the second and third book:The Soul and The Seeker.

Blurb:

Melanie Stryder refuses to fade away. Our world has been invaded by an unseen enemy. Humans become hosts for these invaders, their minds taken over while their bodies remain intact and continue their lives apparently unchanged. Most of humanity has succumbed.

When Melanie, one of the few remaining "wild" humans, is captured, she is certain it is her end. Wanderer, the invading "soul" who has been given Melanie's body, was warned about the challenges of living inside a human: the overwhelming emotions, the glut of senses, the too-vivid memories. But there was one difficulty Wanderer didn't expect: the former tenant of her body refusing to relinquish possession of her mind.

Wanderer probes Melanie's thoughts, hoping to discover the whereabouts of the remaining human resistance. Instead, Melanie fills Wanderer's mind with visions of the man Melanie loves - Jared, a human who still lives in hiding. Unable to separate herself from her body's desires, Wanderer begins to yearn for a man she has been tasked with exposing. When outside forces make Wanderer and Melanie unwilling allies, they set off on a dangerous and uncertain search for the man they both love.

He counts her smiles every day and night at the train station. And morning and evening, the beautiful commuter acknowledges him—just like she does everyone else on the platform. But Blake Hartt is not like the others . . . he’s homeless. Memories of a broken childhood have robbed him of peace and twisted delusions into his soul. He stays secluded from the sun, sure the world would run from him in the harsh light of day.

Each day, Livia McHugh smiles politely and acknowledges her fellow commuters as she waits for the train to the city. She dismisses this kindness as nothing special, just like her. She’s the same as a million other girls—certainly no one to be cherished. But special or not, she smiles every day, never imagining that someone would rely on the simple gesture as if it were air to breathe.

When the moment comes that Livia must do more than smile, without hesitation she steps into the fray to defend the homeless man. And she's surprised to discover an inexplicable connection with her new friend. After danger subsides, their smiles become conversation. Their words usher in a friendship, which awakens something in each of them. But it’s not long before their bond must prove its strength. Entanglements from the past challenge both their love and their lives.

Blake’s heart beats for Livia’s, even if her hands have to keep its rhythm. Love is patient. Love is kind. Love never fails. Love never fails, right?

My Opinion:

“Love is patient and is kind; love doesn’t envy. Love doesn’t brag, is not proud, doesn’t behave itself inappropriately, doesn’t seek its own way, is not provoked, takes no account of wrongs done to it.Love doesn’t rejoice in evil, but rejoices with the truth. It bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things. Love never fails. And now these three remain: faith, hope and love, but the greatest of these is love.”

The blurb and the sentences above is enough proves to show you how amazing this book is.I have read many books(well ok!!!)but this book is a first. He counts her smiles....

I wish I had one to count my smiles.
