Stygian's Honor (Breeds #27)

By Lora Leigh

My rating: 3 of 5 stars

“Sometimes, I feel as though I’ve never been real,”

I've been waiting so long to read this book and I'm so disappointed.I don't know even know where to start from.Stygian's Honor was such a confusing book.I got lost so many times...There was so much drama in this book that I haven't ever seen in any other book.

Let's begin with the two main characters.I envy Stygian so much...I don't know where he got his patience from but I would like some for myself.I really hated Liza or should I say Honor?Well I'll use the name Honor because I like it better.I understand the fact that she had a horrible childhood but Stygian's was by far worse than hers.Did you see him having breakdowns or complaining? No.I just couldn't keep reading her about her constant whining and her attitude.I got so frustrated. Moreover,it was so tiring trying to keep up with the plot and Honor's exaggeration and drama. In my opinion,Stygian deserved better than her.

Considering his past,I have to say that he became a very strong man that no matter the circumstances protected and cherished those he loved. The thing is,that I could definitely feel his love towards Honor whereas felt nothing of her.

I was expecting so much from this book. For one thing,I wanted to see Amber healed. She's just so little and I love her and her parents.I especially loved a scene where Amber snitched on Jonas. Here's a taste

“Don’ call me ’itch, Da.”
“Then don’t snitch on Da,”....So cute.

Nevertheless, this is my opinion.I'm not discouraging anyone fom reading Stygian's Honor, especially if one has already read all the previous books of the series. The only thing that I'm hoping is that the next book be much better than this one was.

I'm also looking forward to reading Claire aka Fawn and Gideon's story.

Blurb:

Window Rock, Arizona, is the last known location of Honor Roberts, who vanished when she was just thirteen. It was her only sanctuary from the Breed research that would surely have ended in her death—one such insidious experiment should, indeed, have killed her. That she lived is both a miracle—and a great mystery.

Stygian’s mission is to find Honor Roberts, no matter the cost. Now, with the help of Liza Johnson, assistant to the chief of the Navajo Nation, he is closer than ever to his goal. But will the discovery of Honor Roberts mean the destruction of the mating heat that has developed between Stygian and Liza?

Big Bad Beast (Pride, #6)

By Shelly Laurenston

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Well Dee-Ann was incredible and I wish I were like her.Strong, independent and really decisive. On the other hand,Ric was the very opposite of her which made the couple more interesting and the story easier to read.

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

To begin with,Harmony was quite a different character from the others. Though every Breed knows pain they all seem to deal with it eventually but Harmony seems not to want to forget her past. That is why everyone calls her Death. She kills her enemies without thing the results of her actions.I believe that Lance shows up the right moment. He does not try to change her but to show her how to deal with her enemies and seek justice inside the law.I really liked Lance. He was gentle, understanding but when the situation required he could really be lethal. As for Harmony I believe that motherhood suits her cause she is very protective and has so much love to give

Elizabeth's Wolf (Breeds, #3)
By Lora Leigh

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I think this was the best of all the books in this series.I loved Cassie and Elizabeth. She is an amazing mother and very protective. But so was Dash.He was protective and carring towards Cassie even when he didn't know her.

When Cassie started sending letters to Dah,he was very badly injured after a mission he had taken. Her letters gave him a reason to live and thus he wanted to find her and her mother and help them. When he did find them he was determind to protect both mother and child. He used every contact he had to ensure their safety.Elizabeth finally got to trust him and let him do what he thought it would be wise to do.So they send Cassie to live with Callan Lions and his pride so they could find Grange,a druglord, who is after Cassie, cause he knows that Casie is a breed. After they sent her away,Elizabeth and Dash complete the process of their mating and later they train together in order to take Grange out. When Grange returns to his mansion Dash knows is their best opportunity to take the information he has on Cassie and condemn him.But while things go like planed and they are ready to leave with the information,Grange takes his gun, while Elizabeth does the same, aim each other and shoot.Grange takes a bullet between his eyes while Elizabeth takes a bullet in her chest.

I really loved this book. The end was just a bonus....

Tanner's Scheme (Breeds, #9) By Lora Leigh

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Really wicked!!I understand that twins are close but who could imagine this. Not that Tanner and Scheme are twins but Tanner and Cabal really share everything.Poor Scheme doesn't even know what she got herself into...

Tanner has spied Scheme for ten years before meating her face to face.He thinks he knows her but he is very wrong. When her former lover tries to kill her, after a direct order from her own father,Tanner saves her and thus "kidnaps" her. While they spent time together he learns the reasons of her actions but what he doesn't know is the consequences of her actions. He has already fallen for her and now wants her to be his mate but the mating signs aren't there. On the other side,Scheme is more than attractive to him but tries hard not to trust him cause she knows firsthand how betrayal can hurt.Scheme has important information, information that could destroy her father and save an innocent life. She doesn't know whether to trust this information to Tanner or not,so she tries to contact the only breed she can trust Jonas Wyatt. While she is figuring out to how to do that Tanner suspects that if she isn't his mate, she may be his brother's.That's when Cabal shows up.Cabal knows she is not his mate but lets Tanner think she is in order to enrage Tanner's animal. It's not too long after he finally sees the truth and claims his mate.

But danger is near and they both know it.Tanner would sacrifice his life to save her but will he be fast enough to save her or will he lose her forever??

I liked Tanner but I loved Scheme's personality more.I have to admit that there were parts that I

didn't really approve his actions but besides that he was as lovely as all the breeds.!
