Entwined

By Heather Dixon

My rating: 3 of 5 stars

"If your sisters come to your wedding,my lady,it will only be to murder me."
"Well at least they will be there."

Entwined is the remake of The Twelve Dancing Princesses with some....twists!!!

The eleven princesses are in mourning. After giving birth to the twelfth princess,Lily, their mother has died. The princesses are wretched...In a time that nothing matters but to protect each other, they discover a secret magic passage that leads to a world of beauty. But this beauty comes with a price...

Before reading this book,I thought that I would love Entwined but as it turns out I didn't really enjoy it.Although the cover is beyond amazing, the characters are very boring.I didn't feel the instant connection I usually feel when reading similar books.I'll just say that this book wasn't for me.

Nevertheless,I read a few reviews and many people actually liked it.I can't say that I recommend this book but not everyone has the same taste...So feel free to read it.

Blurb:

Azalea and her younger sisters dance in the mysterious silver forest every night, escaping from the sadness of the palace and their father’s grief. What they don’t understand—although as time passes they begin to get an inkling of the danger they are in—is that the mysterious and dashing Keeper is tightening his snare with deadly purpose. Luckily, Azalea is brave and steadfast. Luckily, a handsome young army captain also has his eye on Azalea. . . . Lush, romantic, and compelling, this debut novel by Heather Dixon will thrill fans of Shannon Hale, Robin McKinley, and Edith Pattou.

Lethal Rider
I've been waiting so long to read this book and I have to say that it really reached my expectations. We met Regan and Thanatos in Immortal Rider where the two of them has a series of unexpected incidents which lead to the expected result,at least for Regan.

After eight months of particularly being in "comma" Thanatos awakes to take revenge of the person responsible for his condition. But what he doesn't anticipate is finding Regan pregnant with his child(or should I say his agimortus).Regan knew the consequences of the decision she took long ago and was ready to pay them, but is she now?

I really liked the book(well it was better than the previous one)it had a nice flow and the plot was believable. The characters had a hard job to accomplice but nevertheless they did, they worked through their problems and really understood each other.I also liked the end.The way their former "guardian" tried to protect them even though when he knew what his future might hold he risked it all just to save one of them.

Anyway,I'm looking forward to reading the following book Rogue Rider(although he's a meany his very "sweet" thumbs up for Reseph)

Stolen: A Letter to My Captor
By Lucy Christopher

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

My Favourite part:

You told me once of t he plants that lie dormant through the

drought; that wait, half dead, deep in the earth. The plants that

wait for the rain. You said they'd wait for years, if they had to;

that they'd almost kill themselves before they grew again. But

as soon as those first drops of water fall, those plants begin to

stretch and spread their roots. They travel up through the soil and sand to reach the surface. There's a chance for them again.

One day they'll let you out of that dry, empty cell. You'll return to the Separates, without me, and you'll feel the ram once more. And you'll grow straight, this time, towards this sunlight. I know you will.

My eyelids are heavy as stone. But when I sleep, I'll have that dream again. I haven't wanted to tell you about it, until now.

I'll be in the Separates, and I'll be digging with my bare hands. When I've made a hole deep enough to plant a tree, I'll place my fingers inside. I'll slip off the ring you gave me. It will catch the light and glint a rainbow of colours over my skin, but I will take my hands away, leaving it there. I'll start to sprinkle the earth back over it, and I will bury it. Back where it belongs.

I'll rest against a tree's rough trunk. The sun will be setting, its dazzling colours threading through the sky, making my cheeks warm.

Then I will wake up.

It's 4.07am now. Not long until dawn. The smell of eucalyptus is thick in this room, seeping in through the open window and travelling into my lungs. In a moment, when I'm ready, I will turn off this computer and that will be it.

This letter will be finished. A part of me doesn't want to stop writing to you, but I need to. For both of us.

Goodbye Ty,

Gemma.
