Howl For It

B y Shelly Laurenston , Cynthia Eden

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

An amazing anthology including stories by Cynthia Eden and Shelly Laurenston.

Like A Wolf With A Bone By Shelly Laurenston

“This one’s not in here for the fight,” the deputy explained.
“She’s not?”
“She was trying to stop it.”
“Then why—”
“She’s in here for doing a hundred and ten in a thirty mile per hour zone.”
“I was just . . .Seeing what your car could do.”
“And it can do a hundred and ten?”
“Apparently.”

I really liked Dee-Ann's parents story.Eggie Ray Smith and Darla Mae are the exact opposite. But you know what the say about opposite...

Darla is on vacation. But nothing goes as it should have. After being attacted by humans and rescued by a wolf,Eggie, she ends up in Smith territory. There she gets close to Eggie,a very misunderstood wolf.I adore him. After spending time together they realise that they are meant to be together and there their adventoure begins.

I really liked the fact that they both trust each other so much.It was easier to read the story knowing that there was mutual trust and love between them. Moreover,it was an incredible story filled with humor, action and lots of fights.

Wed Or Dead By Cynthia Eden

"Thanks. I’d prefer to die only once today.”
“Only you didn’t die!Dammit, I was crying over you.”
“And that was really sweet,I was touched that you cared—”
She tried to grab him through the cage bars.

A short novela about a wolf shifter and a hunter.

After Kayla's family was slaughtered by a wolf, she promished to avenge them and so became a wolf hunter. But she never expected this...

Her next assignment is to get close to an Alphain order to kill him. Gage is an Alpha who will stop at nothing to save his pack. That is until he meets Kayla. He knows her plan from the beginning but that doesn't stop him from taking what he wants.

A stupendous story with amazing characters bound to enthrall you...

I totally recommend Howl For It and I'm looking forward to reading more books by those two extraordinary talented authors.

Blurb:

"Like A Wolf With A Bone" by Shelly LaurenstonQuiet little Darla Lewis couldn't be happier when the most-feared member of the South's rowdiest pack kidnaps her. A girl gets real tired of being overprotected by her own shifter family, and there's nothing like an oh-so-big bad wolf to start a pack feud, unleash her instincts--and have her surrender however and whenever she wants. . .

"Wed Or Dead" by Cynthia Eden
Gage Ryder knew his human bride had a wild side. But spending their honeymoon night on the run from hunters out to finish him and his pack is sure not the kind of fun he was looking forward to. No problem--Gage will do whatever it takes to lay bare Kayla's secrets and find the truth. If he can keep from being captured by his own seductive game. .

Wicked Nights (Angels of the Dark #1)

By Gena Showalter

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

“I think that’s the sweetest thing you’ve ever said to me.”

“I am a sweet man.What’s so funny?”

How sweet!!!Loved it....Definately a must read for The LOTU fans but others also.Wicked Nights is the first installment in Gena Showalter's new series,Angels Of The Dark. It's an incredible book which introduces us to the world of the angel warriors who although have suffered a lot, have survived.

Wicked Nights tells the story of Zacharel,an angel warrior, who we have previously met in Lords Of The Underworld series. As a leader of the warriors Zacharel must prevent them from killing any human even if the human is possessed.Annabelle Miller is a tortured soul who saw a demon murder her parents and was later accused for the crime.Having spent four years in an institution for the criminally insane Annabelle finally meets Zacharel. They were both doomed by their first encounter.

This book will keep you on edge as it contains many twists and turns,romance,humor {

“Can I just say what a bad boy you are right now?”

“Of course you can. You just did.”

“No, I mean – Oh, never mind, you spoiled it. "}

painful memories(for both of them) and a lot scenes with an obstinated, possessive, protective, adorable, jealous angel with "cute wings"(Annabelle's words).Despite of everything that each of them had to endure, together they find peace.

In Wicked Nights,we also see many Lords and their "wives" such as Lucien and Anya,Strider and Kaia,Amun and Haidee, sweet, gorgeous beyond imagination Paris without Sienna (A shame but I loved the scene where Zacharel introduces Annabelle to Paris...hahaha),an "angelic" couple Lucander and Bianka and finally we meet many new characters who I hope will get their story soon. Some of them are Thane, Bjorn, Xerxes and Koldo(poor Koldo has no wings but can teleport).

I have to admit that Wicked Nights reminded me a little of The Darkest Secret,Amun and Haidee's story, but I loved it nonetheless!!!It had a nice flow and sequence and I really liked the way things progressed.

I totally recommend this book and I'm looking forward to reading the following one.

Don’t miss the second book in Angels Of The Dark series Koldo’s story, due to hit stores early-mid 2013,BEAUTY AWAKENED coming soon from Gena Showalter.

The Vampire Stalker

By Allison VanDiepen

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I can't believe it..

This book is a dream that has come true.I mean who wouldn't wanttheir book heroes to be real?I had it quite a while in my to-read self but hadn't noticed it until two days ago.

The story takes place in Chicago:

Amy Hawthorne is a seventeen year old book lover waiting to read "The Mists Of Otherworld" written by Elizabeth Howard. The book begins with Amy and her friends,Luisa and Katie, waiting outside of a bookstore in order to buy the book.Meanwhile we learn(by Amy's knowledge)Alexander's life story.Alexander is a young man whose family was murdered by Vigo. So, Alexander wants to take revenge by killing Vigo. After reading Elizabeth's book Amy is frustrated as the author doesn't reveal whether Vigo was killed or not.

After the school dance,Amy,is attacted and a man who is looking like Alexander saves her.At first she doesn't recognise him but when he introduces himself and shows her evidence about who he is,she is convised.

The adventure to kill Vigo and find out the truth about how their are in her world begins. They both want answers about how the author knows so much things of Alexander's world, how to find Vigo and what is going to happen when he's dead.

I really liked the book,in my opinion everyone would like to have their heroes with them.I loooooved both the main and second characters as no matter the obstacles they stuck together and tried to deal with the situation. The book also had some really amazing scenes, surprises and was full of laughter.

I recommend this book to everyone who all they ever wanted was to have his/her heroe with them.

Beautiful Disaster

By Jamie McGuire

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I got this book with a different cover and I have to say that this edition is more suitable to the story.I have to say that I really liked this book but there were times that i felt like things were repeated and I have to admit that in some parts I was very bored.Besides that, the books is worth reading and apart from the two main characters I'm pretty sure that you will adore the secondary ones.I loved Travis but to me he was very exorbitant,he always seemed to overreact and whenever a problem came up he solved it by drnking. On the other hand,he was very dedicated to Abby, loved her unconditionally and fiercely, gave her all she wanted plus himself and his heart. And like he said, she is everything to him.

Stolen: A Letter to My Captor
By Lucy Christopher

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

My Favourite part:

You told me once of t he plants that lie dormant through the

drought; that wait, half dead, deep in the earth. The plants that

wait for the rain. You said they'd wait for years, if they had to;

that they'd almost kill themselves before they grew again. But

as soon as those first drops of water fall, those plants begin to

stretch and spread their roots. They travel up through the soil and sand to reach the surface. There's a chance for them again.

One day they'll let you out of that dry, empty cell. You'll return to the Separates, without me, and you'll feel the ram once more. And you'll grow straight, this time, towards this sunlight. I know you will.

My eyelids are heavy as stone. But when I sleep, I'll have that dream again. I haven't wanted to tell you about it, until now.

I'll be in the Separates, and I'll be digging with my bare hands. When I've made a hole deep enough to plant a tree, I'll place my fingers inside. I'll slip off the ring you gave me. It will catch the light and glint a rainbow of colours over my skin, but I will take my hands away, leaving it there. I'll start to sprinkle the earth back over it, and I will bury it. Back where it belongs.

I'll rest against a tree's rough trunk. The sun will be setting, its dazzling colours threading through the sky, making my cheeks warm.

Then I will wake up.

It's 4.07am now. Not long until dawn. The smell of eucalyptus is thick in this room, seeping in through the open window and travelling into my lungs. In a moment, when I'm ready, I will turn off this computer and that will be it.

This letter will be finished. A part of me doesn't want to stop writing to you, but I need to. For both of us.

Goodbye Ty,

Gemma.
