MEET BIANCA

  I sighed audibly.  Are we even moving?  It was seriously the slowest elevator I’d ever taken.  Frustrated, and maybe a bit anxious to get the interview over with, I took another shot at the elevator panel.  Again, pressing the button repeatedly, I groaned, “Come on.  I’m already freakin’ late.” I breathed a sigh of relief when the car seemed to finally pick up speed.  But then, it jolted to an abrupt stop, and the elevator went pitch black. “Well now you’ve gone and broken the damn thing,” a deep voice said from behind me.  Startled, I jumped and bobbled my cell phone in the dark, which resulted in it falling.  From the sound of it smashing against the floor, I knew it had broken. “Shit!  Look what you made me do.” I bent over and patted the floor, but I couldn’t find it.  “Can you at least give me some light so I can find my phone?” “It would be my pleasure.” “Thank you,” I huffed. “If I had a cell phone on me.” “Are you kidding?  You don’t have a cell phone on you?  Who walks around without their cell phone?” “Maybe you should try it. If you weren’t so obsessed with yours, we wouldn’t be in this predicament.” I stood, and my hands went to my hips. “How so?” “Well, you were so busy typing away on your phone, you didn’t even notice another passenger was in the car with you.” “And?” “Had you seen me, you wouldn’t have jumped hearing my voice and broken your phone.  Then we would have had light, and you would be able to see that elevator panel well enough to push that button another twenty or thirty times. I’m sure that would’ve helped.” I felt the man moving around behind me. “What are you doing?” When he answered, his voice came from a different place.  It was to my left and beneath me.  “I’m on the floor looking for your cell phone.” It really was pitch dark.  I couldn’t see a thing, but I felt the air move, and I knew he must have stood back up. “Put your hand out.” “You’re going to put my phone in it, right?” “No, I’ve taken down my pants and I’m going to stick my dick in it.  Christ, you’re really a bitch, aren’t you?” Thinking he couldn’t see me, I smiled at his sarcasm and put out my hand.  “Just give me my phone.”      

MEET DEX

  Wow. My little ball player was quite the fox. I’d only seen her from the back before the lights went out. Now, I was staring into her beautiful, big brown eyes, feeling like this elevator mishap wasn’t such a bad thing after all. She cleared her throat. “The lights came back, but we’re still stuck.” I clicked on some of the buttons. “Seems that way. But this is a step in the right direction. I bet this thing will be moving in no time.” And by this thing moving, I do not mean my dick, although I could have sworn I felt it twitch when she just licked her beautiful full lips. Do that again. Fuck. She is beautiful. My eyes travelled down the length of her body then back up again, loving how the small buttons on her conservative blouse formed a path up to her delicate neck. I wouldn’t have minded sucking on that skin. Maybe I could entice her to play hooky with me. “Where are you headed once we get out of here?” I asked. “The thirty-fourth floor,” she said. What? What is she doing going up to my floor? I know she doesn’t work for me. I would have remembered that face, those eyes. “What kind of business you have going on up there?” “I actually have the pleasure of interviewing Mister Moneybags himself.” My stomach sank. Ohhhh. This didn’t bode well for me. I swallowed then cocked my head to the side and played dumb. “Who?” “The elusive Dexter Truitt. He’s the CEO of Montague Enterprises. They occupy the entire top floor.” Trying to seem like I was not seriously about to lose my shit, I asked, “Why do you call him Mister Moneybags?” “I just picture him to be this crabby, money-hungry asshole, I guess. MACK DADDY EXCERPT

    It was the evening of our monthly PTO meeting. On the agenda was to designate the volunteers for several fundraisers that would take place in the spring. Setting up the refreshments and a coffee urn in the hallway outside of the classroom, I couldn’t wait to get this over with so that I could go home, get into my pajamas, and relax. It was always exhausting to have evening commitments when the workday ran so late to begin with. A deep voice from behind startled me. “A keg would be much more fun, wouldn’t it?” I turned around to find Mack standing there, holding a box of chocolate chip cookies from the supermarket. “What are you doing here?” He placed the cookies on the table. “This is the parent and teachers meeting, isn’t it?” “Yes, but…” I hesitated, not even knowing what to say. He finished my sentence. “But I’m not supposed to be included in that group?” Mack snapped his finger. “Oh, I’m sorry. I thought PTO stood for ‘pissing teacher off.’ My bad.” “Well, if that were the case, you might be in the right place.” “This is the right place for me tonight.” “This meeting is for serious participants.” “I’m serious about the teacher. Does that count?” “No.” “Actually, in all seriousness, I’d also like to help. It’s the least I can do after crashing your school year. I really would like to be as involved as I can in Jonah’s education. That’s the truth, okay? Getting to spend time with you is an added benefit.” What could I say? He had just as much right to be here as anyone else. “Just be aware that this isn’t the right place to be joking around or distracting the other attendees, for that matter.” “I don’t plan on distracting anyone but you.” “Yeah, well you have quite the fan base here. We have a very strict agenda to adhere to.” He moved in closer and just stared me down for a bit. The contact caused my skin to prickle and my nipples to harden. “Don’t worry,” he said as he looked down, seeming to notice that my nipples were piercing through the fabric of my shirt. “Your points are well noted, Miss O’Hara.” He wriggled his brows. “I’ll see you inside.” I hated that he knew he was having an effect on me. If my body had this kind of response now, what would have happened if he’d actually done more? Spontaneous impregnation? Some things just never change, and my reaction to this man was an example of that. A long table sat in the middle of the spare classroom where we held the meeting. There wasn’t a single man in the room besides Mack. He was like the centerpiece. I took my seat at the end of the table. “So, shall we get started?” Looking down at my list, I said, “First on the agenda is the book fair. We need to elect someone to be in charge of it and coordinate the volunteers.” Mack raised his hand. “Yes?” I asked. “That sounds like it’s right down my alley. I’d like to volunteer to run the book fair.” “What makes you want that task? It’s a lot of responsibility.” He thought about it for a moment then said, “I write children’s books. I think I’d be a perfect fit.” “That’s a good point,” one of the women said. “He might be the perfect fit.” I’m sure you’re thinking he’d be the perfect fit, alright…in your vagina. “Okay…but I hope you know that there is a tremendous amount of work that goes into organizing that particular event. It takes place over the course of an entire weekend. You have to place orders with the bookseller, do inventory, delegate tasks, and arrange for an onsite food vendor because many people just come for the food. Ultimately, the food is the bait.” “I can bait people. I’m a master baiter.” He paused. “I mean…I can handle it. I’ll get a shitload of people to sign up.” An attending nun gave him a dirty look for his use of foul language. He cleared his throat, seeming to regret his choice of terminology. “I’ll get people to attend. Don’t worry.” “I’ll put your name down as a possibility. We’ll take a vote at the end.” “Thank you.” Looking around the room, I asked, “Is there anyone else here who is interested in taking the reigns on the book fair?” Not a single person budged. One woman said, “No, but I’ll be happy to help Mack with whatever he needs.” I’m sure you will. You probably just answered the question in your head thinking it's an easy decision.
For me, it's not. Did I mention it's a lot of money? A hell of a lot.
I needed to go far away to think it through.
As I embarked on an impulsive trip, I hit a detour when I met sexy Carter in the airport lounge. We struck up a heated conversation.
Then, he left.
I thought I'd never see him again.
But fate had other plans.
Surprise! He was the pilot of my flight.
The bigger surprise was the adventure that followed after the plane landed.
Carter was dangerous and always on the move.
Even though our connection was magnetic, I knew it was only temporary.
He would give me tickets, and I would follow him around the world to exotic places.
A bevy of flight attendant exes and rumors about Carter's reputation were never far behind.
I didn't know what to believe.
But I was addicted. Nothing else mattered anymore. And I was going to get hurt. Because a part of me wanted to be the one to finally ground the playboy pilot.
At the very least, he was taking me on a thrilling ride.
All good things must come to an end, right?
Except our ending was one I didn't see coming.

Kendall is a 24-year-old woman who comes from money. When she's faced with an important decision to make, she impulsively packs her bags and decides to take a trip. the problem here, though, is, she doesn't know where to go.

She founds herself at the bar, in the airport trying to decide where to go when she meets this handsome, mysterious man, Enter Carter Clynes. So, they start talking, doing a little bit of flirting (mostly on Carter's part) and before she knows it she's on her way to Rio. And surprise, surpise Carter Clynes is the captain on her flight!!

After that, they pretty much get to talking and they both find themselves sharing stuff with each other. When Carter has to go back to work, they are both reluctant to let each other go and so Kendall starts following him around on his trips.

"There is no way I was ready to let you go. I don't know what this is, but it's the best thing I have in my life right now, and I don't want to lose it."

They decide to keep things platonic between them at the beginning and just enjoy their time together. -When has that ever work? Never!!!- So, of course, they cross the line and soon enough they can't keep from touching each other all the time. Eventually, Kendall's problem is catching up with her and she has to make a decision whether to br risky and choose Carter or to stay safe and choose to go back.

"This is crazy, right? Falling in love so fast? But I'm convinced that's how it happens when it's the real thing. You just know when it feels right."

Playboy Pilot was a heart-warming, hilarious read for me. I enjoyed every second of it and I found myself wanting to read it again and again. Penelope Ward and Vi Keeland managed to give us an incredible story again. I mean I thought nothing could top Cocky Bastard?! I was wrong! Speaking of which, I loved Chance's short little scene. As usual it was funny!!

Honestly, this book was amazing! I highly recommend it to whoever wants to read something funny, touching, exciting and adventurous! You're not gonna want to put it down!!

Excerpt

It felt like we were the only two people in the world, instead of inside a busy, posh restaurant. 

“This is beautiful. But odd,” I said.

Graham took off his jacket and settled into his side of the table with one arm casually slung over the top of the booth. “Fitting.”

“Are you saying I’m odd?”

“Are we going to fight about it if I say yes?”

“Probably.”

“Then, yes.”

My brow furrowed. “You want to fight with me?”

Graham tugged at his tie, loosening it. “I find it turns me on.”

I laughed. “I think you need counseling.”

“After the last few days, I believe you may be right.”

The waitress returned with our drinks. She set a highball glass down in front of him and a wine glass in front of me. 

Graham had ordered Hendrick’s and tonic. “That’s an old man’s drink, gin and tonic,” I said as I sipped my wine.

He swirled the ice around in his glass, then brought it to his lips and looked at me over the rim before drinking. ”Remember what arguing with me does. You might want to look under the table.”

My eyes widened. “You aren’t.”

He smirked and cocked an eyebrow. “Go ahead. Put your head under. I know you’re dying to take a peek anyway.”

After we both finished our drinks, and some of my nerves had started to calm, we finally had our first real conversation. One that wasn’t about sex or tongue rings. 

“So how many hours do you work a day in that big fancy office of yours?”

“I usually go in by eight and try to leave by eight.”

“Twelve hours a day? That’s sixty hours a week.”

“Not counting weekends.”

“You work weekends, too?”

“Saturdays.”

“So your only day off is Sunday?”

“I actually sometimes work in the evening on Sunday, too.”

“That’s nuts. When do you find time to enjoy yourself?”

“I enjoy my work.”

I scoffed. “Didn’t sound that way when I stopped in the other day. Everyone there seems afraid of you, and you refused to open the door.”

“I was busy.” He folded his arms over his chest. 

I did the same. “So was I. I took two trains to personally deliver that phone, you know. And you didn’t have the decency to even come out and say thank you.”

“I didn’t know what was behind the door waiting for me, or I would have come out.”

“A person. A person was behind the door. One who went out of her way for you. If I were a sixty-year-old married woman with blue hair, you should have come out to thank me.”

He sighed. “I’m a busy man, Soraya.”

“Yet here you are on a weeknight at only 7PM. Shouldn’t you be working until eight if you’re so busy?”

“I make exceptions when warranted.”

“How big of you.”

He arched an eyebrow. “You want to look under the table, don’t you?”

It started out like any other morning on the train.
