Obsidian By Jennifer L.Armentrout
Obsidian
By Jennifer L. Armentrout
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

My Review:

Soooooo...This story goes like:girl meets boy,the boy is an alien, girl falls for the boy,the boy is a jerk.

The story begins with Kat unpacking boxes in order to settle down in their new home.Since her father died three years ago(terminal brain cancer)her mother decided it was time for a change. So when Kat goes to ask their neighbors where the closest grocery store is she is stunned by what she sees.A very broad, tan, well-muscled naked chest, perfect, totally touchable ripped stomach(her words not mine),who apparently has a name,Daemon. But Daemon is not who she thinks(apart from a douchebag,a dickhead and several other charming things).Daemon and his twin sister Dee live together and Dee and kat quickly become best friends. That's it till weird things happen when kat is around the twins as Dee's arm blurrs,Daemon can stay over ten minutes under the water and everyone stares them.

While these things happen though Daemon tries to convince her that she just imagened them.Kat being sure that these thing did happen continues to ask more questions and gets no answers. When one night Kat gets attacked by an Arum(enemies of Daemon's kind) and Daemon saves her,she is more confused than ever about what really happened. As things progress and they go to school Kat meets Daemons ex-girlfriend Ash.Ash is very rude to her and so Kat doesn't try to hide her feelings and they very first day at school dumped her food on Ash and Daemon's heads, since Ash was sitting on his lap(i think he deserved it too cause he was such a jerk with her the whole time...poor Kat). The following day Daemon tells Kat that he wants to talk to her and that she should meet him to his house.

Daemon being Daemon, decides that they should talk while walking cause when he's walking he doesn't turn into the dickhead Daemon. So,they begin walking to the woods when he starts talking and really makes her angry with what he says and after having reached the point where she can't get any more she runs away from him and right into a car which is going to hit her.Daemon stops time and saves her but is now forced to tell her all the truth.

I really liked this book, though, there were times that i wanted to grab Daemon and kick his a**.I hated so much the hot one minute and cold the other attitude.Anyway, this was the first book i read by Jennifer L. Armentrout and i really enjoyed it.Things flowed naturally(at least as far as aliens are considered) and the plot was captivating and i would have never guessed the end.I have to say that the end was intriguing but the same time fascinating,as well.

I totally recommend this book to anyone who has doubts about reading it.It's a really worth young-adult book.To read the blurb go here:http://www.goodreads.com/book/show/12578077-obsidian
To read Deamon's Pov go here(if you have read the book first):http://jenniferarmentrout.blogspot.com/2011/12/1000-votes-daemons-pov-from-obsidian.html

Existence by Abbi Glines
Existence
By Abbi Glines
Release Date: December 13
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I loved it.....I read it in one single day cause i couldn't stop reading.I wanted to know so much what would happen in the end.And when i did found out i was like"what?is this the end?what is Leif?what is going to happen? How will Dank and Pagan be together forever?".

Nonetheless, this book is really worth every minute of one's time.Though the main characters(Pagan,Dank,Leif) weren't really funny,i have to admit that the second ones were really cool.My favourite one was Gee,who in the end appeared to be a whole different person.Anyway i liked both of her roles. Here is one of my favourite dialoge(the dialoge is between Gee and Nurse Caren)"
“Oh, come on Twitter whore this is more entertaining than the shit we have to watch on television.”

“Twenty minutes, Gee,”

“I already lost all my fucking time today, Nurse Karen.”

“Twenty minutes tomorrow and you will lose all privileges for a week if you say one more bad word.”

“Come bring Mr. Yummy over here so I can look at him,”

“Gee, go help Nurse Ashley with the lunch preparations.”

“I was gonna play nice, you know, Karen. You’re just no fun, no fun at all.”
Like always,to me Abbi Glines writes wonderfully and i have to say that like Breathe this book made me cry really hard(to be honest i couldn't stop crying, especially when Dank left).

For those who haven't read it yet here is the bulrb:

What happens when you are stalked by Death? You fall in
love with him of course. Pagan Moore doesn’t cheat Death, instead, she falls in love with him.
Seventeen year old Pagan Moore, has seen souls her entire life. Once she realized the strangers she often saw walking through walls were not visible to anyone else, she started ignoring them. If she didn’t let them know she could see them, they left her alone. Until she steps out of her car on the first day of school and sees an incredibly sexy guy lounging on a picnic table, watching her with an amused smirk on his face. Problem is, she knows he's dead. Not only does he not go away, when she ignores him he does something none of the others have ever done; he speaks. Pagan is fascinated by the soul. What Pagan doesn’t realize is that her appointed time to die is drawing near and the wickedly beautiful soul she is falling in love with is not a soul. He is Death and he is about to break all the rules.

Immortal Rider by Larissa Ione

Release Date: December 1

My rating: 3 of 5 stars

Immortal rider is the second book of Lord of Deliverance Series.

I didn't really like it cause the story was supposed to be about Arik and Limos but there were more scenes with Death and Regan(not that i didn't enjoy them)than the main characters. So i give this book three stars and i hope that i'll be more content with the following one..

Sexy, powerful, and immortal, Limos is on a crash course with destiny. She’s been marked as Satan’s bride and her jealous fiancé wants her all to himself. The only way this Horseman can keep herself—and everyone else—safe is to keep her distance. But not even Limos can save herself from the secrets she’s kept . . . or resist the seductive allure of one very brave human.

Arik Wagner knows the saying “love hurts” better than most, yet he never thought stealing a kiss from Limos would land him in Hell. Literally. It takes all his military training to survive the demon torture, but once he’s topside, Arik realizes that the agony has just begun. With the Apocalypse looming and Satan demanding his bride, will Arik and Limos surrender to the desire smoldering between them? Or will giving in to their passion unleash hell on earth?

Dark Taste of Rapture by Gena Showalter

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I just finished it and i loved it!!Noelle was truly amazing and i have to admit that she has a really weird kind of humor.Hector on the other side is always serious and professional and though he thinks that he is too dangerous for her and he might hurt her in the end love wins.I have to admit that i really enjoyed reading this book as well as every book of this series.I loved every line of this book but my favourites were these:

Phoenix: You really think you’re AIR material, huh? You think that pretty smile of yours is going to solve cases for you?

Noelle: Of course. Proof: when I walked into this room my smile solved the case of the mysteriously missing blond agent who only has half a brain.

Punch.

Phoenix: Do you like your brain slamming against your skull?

Noelle: More than anything.

Punch.

Phoenix: Think your smile will be as beautiful if I pop your front teeth?

Noelle: Oh, Agent … Blond Girl … Person. The fact that you’d find me so pretty even without my teeth is sweet, but you’re not my type. I like my men with thinner mustaches.

Brutal punch.

Phoenix: How’s my mustache looking now?

Noelle: Who cares? Caress me again. I liked it.

Really brutal punch.

This is a part where Noelle is supposesd to be training with Phoenix.

Another part is where Noelle and Ava are texting each other(have to add that Noelle's ringtine tone is Ava’s voice saying, “You better answer this, genius, or I’ll kick your ass!”) and McKelle calls and tells her“Stop texting my wife,I need her full attention right now.”
And last but not least is a conversation between Noelle,Hector and Dallas. So,here it is:

“What? I’m hungry. I didn’t eat before, during, or after the wedding.”

“Yeah, but you just came from a gruesome murder scene,” Hector, Mr. Obvious, said.

“And that means I should starve for the rest of my life?”

“It means you shouldn’t eat something that looks like the dead guy’s chest,” Dallas snapped. “Now can the two of you stop flirting with each other? It’s annoying.”

Seriously, what was wrong with him? “How about this,” she told them both. “I’ll worry about my appetite and potential digestive problems, and you two worry about shutting your fucking mouths. Sound good? As for the flirting thing, your radar must be malfunctioning, Dallas. If you consider that flirting, I feel sorry for your girlfriends.”

Lord Of The Abyss By Nalini Singh

Lord of the Abyss by Nalini Singh

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I love Nalini Singh and I definitely loved this book. The last book of the Royal House of Shadows(and my favourite one) is about the youngest prince of Elden,Micah.

As well as being based on the beauty and the beast theme, this book is the final in a quartet series by different authors.Liliana, the daughter of the sorcerer who killed Micah’s parents when he was a small child, wants to aid Micah to reclaime his throne. When Micah first sees Liliana he is very curious about her and thus wants to learn about her as much as he can. When he is not pleased by her answesrs he intents to send her to the dungeon when she tells him that she is a great cooker and he sends her to the kitchen. There she meets Jissa, whom I loved tremendously, and become friends.During her time in the Black Castle she cooks for him(which he finds extraordinary wonderful and brings him memories and feelings he did not thik he could have),she tells him tales about Elden's princesses and while all this happens they both begin to fall for each other. But the time comes when Micah finds out the thruth about Elden and gets angry about Liliana lying to him and not about her being the sorcerer's daughter. So together they travel to Elden,go through some difficulties but manage to get to the castle in time to kill the sorcerer. And something horrible happens.

I loved this book and in my opinion it was the best of the four books in the series. You should also know that things are not as they seem. For example,we all read that Liliana is very ugly but the thruth is that when she was a baby her father cast a spell to her and made her look ugly but when Micah killed her father the spell disappeared and she was so beautiful that no one could take their eyes off of her.
 Here are my favourite lines:

“I don’t normally cry.”

“You will never do it.”

“Well, I’m afraid I may sometimes,” she said

apologetically. “Women need to cry.”

Lines formed between his brows. “How many times in a year?”

“Maybe five or six,” she said, thinking about it. “But really, it’s usually a very small cry and not in front of anyone.”

Always she’d hidden her tears, curled up in some dark corner of the castle.

At that, his scowl grew even darker. “I will permit you to

cry four times a year. And you will do it when I am here.”

“Why?”
