Opal By Jennifer L.Armentrout

It's been such a long time since I last posted but I was too busy with school. No that Christmas is finally almost here,I have more free time.So once I saw that Opal was to come out sooner than expected,I made sure to get my hands on one of the copies......

Opal  (Lux #3)

By Jennifer L. Armentrout

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

"Do you ever stop talking?"

"When I'm sleeping," Blake replied.

"And when you're dead," Daemon threw back. "You'll stop talking when you're dead."

Blake's lips thinned. "Point taken.” -Daemon and Blake

What has just happend???

I cannot believe that I have to wait until July to find out more...

Ok.Let's start from the beginning!!!

When I started reading Opal I was all happy and I was right to be so.Later I was more than trilled especially when reading Daemon and Kat scenes. As I neared the end, though,I felt something was sooooooo wrong. And It was.In the very last page........

Oh my God!After I finished the book I couldn't stop crying and to think that I'll have to wait until July to read Origin.I want to get my hands on an advanced copy right now.I just can't wait.I'm so sad and pissed and want to kill Blake right now.The IDIOT.I can't believe he did that to her....

What I actually loved(except from the whole book)was this particular scene(THE SCENE) between Daemn and Kat.I just adored them. They have progressed so much.I loooooooved Daemon.Especially his behaviour around Kat.He was funny,sweeet,protective(over-protective actually),he cared so much for her and ok let's face it there were times that I wanted to choke him.Kat,on the other hand, has matured and is dealing with some problems, one of which is her friends or the lack of it.Dee is no longer talking to her, while her other friends are slipping away,as well.

Dawson,oh Dawson!!!There were times that I felt sorry for him and there were others(one particular) that I could but blame him for the tragedy that came upon Kat.

And finally,Dee,who apparently stopped grieving and is now seeking revenge. There was even one scene that she punched Blake.Well done Dee!!!

Blake(who I hope he chokes) is the character that confused me the most.I can't say that I liked him, bearing in mind that he killed Adam, but I didn't disliked him either(that until I read the last chapter). In the beginning of the book I kind of pitied him,as everyone was against him. That changed though.Pity became like, like became anger and anger led to this dangerous feelings that I have for him.I still can't believe that he not only betrayed them but abandoned them as well.

Poor Daemon.Poor Kat.They only ones that actually did win something were Dawson and Beth, who finally found each other.I don't have the patience to wait to till July.I want to know now.

Opal is must read and must have for every shelf.I would just suggest that you don't read the book right away(as I did and now regret) but wait until mid June so as not to wait for Origin. And believe me,from where I stand It seems a long wait(not to mention that I ruined my Christmas). But If you are desperate to read it,go ahead. But keep in mind that the following book doesn't come out until JULY...

Blurb:

No one is like Daemon Black.

When he set out to prove his feelings for me, he wasn’t fooling around. Doubting him isn’t something I’ll do again, and now that we’ve made it through the rough patches, well... There’s a lot of spontaneous combustion going on.

But even he can’t protect his family from the danger of trying to free those they love.

After everything, I’m no longer the same Katy. I’m different... And I’m not sure what that will mean in the end. When each step we take in discovering the truth puts us in the path of the secret organization responsible for torturing and testing hybrids, the more I realize there is no end to what I’m capable of. The death of someone close still lingers, help comes from the most unlikely source, and friends will become the deadliest of enemies, but we won’t turn back. Even if the outcome will shatter our worlds forever.

Together we’re stronger... and they know it.

Rogue Rider (Lords of Deliverance #4)

By Larissa Ione

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

“Oompa-Loompa Land?” He shook his head. “No way. Orange people give me the creeps. I don’t even like fake tans. I’d never be their king.”

― Reseph

Rogue Rider is the fourth book of Lords of Deliverance series. Finally we get to read Peseph's story which I definitelly enjoyed....
To begin with,Rogue Rider starts where Lethal Riderleft off.Reseph is suffering from amnesia when he's found by Jillian.Jillian takes him in her home and looks after him until he gets better. In the meanwhile, the others(Ares,Limos and Thanatos)are not aware that Reseph still lives.Imagine their surprise when Reaver tells them that he's not really dead. They begin searching for him, when after some info they get from Kynan, they find him and take him away from Jullian. That's when Reseph starts remembering the things Pestilence did.

I really liked this book and I'm so content that the series isn't ending. The attraction between Reseph and Jillian is instant.I loooooooveed the new Reseph ,though,I hated the old one and Pestilence.Did I mention that we get to see all three???

In this book we also learn more about the other Horsemen and how their lives have progressed.I'm not going to spoil anything. You should definitely read it.I'm just going to say that Limos's dream finally came true...Oh,there are also many "surprises" in Rogue Rider.

If you have read the previous books then you should absolutely read this one as well. It's an amazing book with an incredible ending that prepares us for the following book,Reaver's story...

Blurb:

The prophecies were there but no one listened. Until now. They are the Lords of Deliverance and they have the power to ward off Doomsday . . . or let it ride.

Jillian Cardiff came to this remote mountain town to forget the demon attack that almost killed her. Instead, she rescues - and falls for - a gorgeous stranger who has no memory of anything other than his name. Handsome, charming and protective, Reseph seems like the kind of man that Jillian can trust. But with hints of a troubling history of his own, he's also the kind of man that can be very dangerous . . .

Reseph may not know his background, or why he mysteriously appeared in Jillian's life, but he knows he wants to stay. Yet when Jillian's neighbours are killed and demon hunters arrive on the scene, Reseph fears that he's putting Jillian in danger. And once it's revealed that Reseph is also Pestilence, the Horseman responsible for ravaging the world with death and destruction, he and Jillian must face the greatest challenge of all: can they forget the horrors of a chilling past to save the future they both desire?

Poison Princess By Kresley Cole

Poison Princess  (The Arcana Chronicles #1)

By Kresley Cole

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

"Remember my titles? I don’t get poisoned, I do the poisoning. I’m the Princess of it." -Evie

I's been such a long time since I read a book by Kresley Cole.I thought that Immortals After Dark books were perfect but after reading this one I do not think words are enough to describe how I fell about it....

The story begins with our main character,Evie, trying to decide whether or not to get in an old man's home who lures her with food and warmth.Come again???Time for the background story:

The world has been destroyed by the sun's deathly rays,a phenomenon the survivors call Flash.Millions of people have died and those who survived are either dying or wish they had.You see when the Flash occured it destroyed everything.Food and water are scarce and people are killing each other in oredr to feed.

Back to our story, after being persuaded that this old man named Arthur is harmless,Evie goes into his house and shares her story before and after the Flash. That's how the book progresses and that is also how we learn the facts too.We learn how she and her mother survived the Flash and how her mother died later, how she and Jack met again after the Flash and how they much later found others in their age with extraordinary abilities like Evie's.

I loved this book so much.I knew I had been right when I decided to read this. One might say that the story is hard to follow but I promise you that once you begin reading it,you will not be able to put it down.It has a nice flow, solid main and secondary characters, many mysteries and lots of secters.Oh,did I mention that those who like solving puzzles will definitely love it???

I 1000% recommend this book to everyone......

Enjoy!!!!!!

Blurb:

She could save the world—or destroy it.
Sixteen year old Evangeline “Evie” Greene leads a charmed life, until she begins experiencing horrifying hallucinations. When an apocalyptic event decimates her Louisiana hometown, Evie realizes her hallucinations were actually visions of the future—and they’re still happening. Fighting for her life and desperate for answers, she must turn to her wrong-side-of-the-bayou classmate: Jack Deveaux.

But she can’t do either alone.
With his mile-long rap sheet, wicked grin, and bad attitude, Jack is like no boy Evie has ever known. Even though he once scorned her and everything she represented, he agrees to protect Evie on her quest. She knows she can’t totally depend on Jack. If he ever cast that wicked grin her way, could she possibly resist him?

Who can Evie trust?
As Jack and Evie race to find the source of her visions, they meet others who have gotten the same call. An ancient prophesy is being played out, and Evie is not the only one with special powers. Empty Net By Toni Aleo

Empty Net  (Assassins #3)

By Toni Aleo

My rating: 3 of 5 stars

What can I say???

There were times that I really liked this book but there were other times that I couldn't take it anymore! So much drama...

I start with Tate because I adored him!Despite being young he is everything a woman can ever want.Sexy as hell, loyal and dedicated, funny but smart, young yet he his fully aware how hard and unfair life can be.I was totally impressed by him at some point and several long scenes.I also liked the fact that he didn't play hard to get.Really hate that type of men.

As long as Audrey is concerned I think that she was such a drama queen.Behaving childish and unable to stick to a decision.I think that she was so weak.Okay,I get it she had a problem so what???There are so many things that can be done nowadays for her situation that it shouldn't be considered a problem anymore.

Overall,I liked that I liked Trying to Score more than Empty Net but I have to admit that it was a nice book with many twists.I can't wait to read the next book in the series Blue Lines, which will be Piper and Eric's book(who I don't like much, you will understand if you read the book).I surely recommend the book to anyone who has previously read Taking Shots and Trying to Score.

Blurb:

Audrey Parker was in a horrible place.
She hated her job, her sister was getting married and moving out, but worst of all, she was in love with a total jerk. No matter what she did, every guy she met hurt her. All she wanted was her happily ever after. Her Prince Charming. Her Lucas Brooks! She didn’t know how to change her life but she knew she needed too.
Feeling like she was about to hit rock bottom, Audrey wakes up next to Tate Odder.

Tate Odder had lost everything.
After being brought up from the Assassins’ farm team, the Florida Rays to the Nashville Assassins, Tate hopes he’ll forget everything he has lost. He doesn’t. Each day gets harder to live in a place he doesn’t know. Even being the first rookie goalie to shut out an opposing team three times during the Lord Stanley Cup Finals, he still felt empty. With the loss of his parents and sister still heavy on his heart, Tate isn’t sure how to live like everything is okay.

But when he wakes up beside Audrey Parker, things start to change. She turns his life upside down with her kooky sense of humor and her bright clothing. She is intelligent and beautiful, and for once, he doesn’t feel empty.
Will Audrey be the person to fill the holes in Tate’s heart, making him whole again?
Or will another player ruin everything, leaving him feeling forever like an empty net?

Ceaseless  (Existence Trilogy #3)

By Abbi Glines

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

“I’m sick of the mopey shit. It is getting old. You can’t mope for the rest of eternity. Especially when you didn’t even fight for her. You drop the bomb on her that you end human life and then you expect her to accept you with open arms. This ain’t a damn soap opera.” -Gee

I was totally right!!!!!

I so knew what was going to happen.I was 100% sure.I knew that no matter what,no matter who she was with,Death would make sure his love,Pagan, remained happy.

It's Tuesday and although I finished Ceaseless yesterday I didn't have time to right a review.I loooooved this book so much.Despite being disappointed that I won't probably hear from Dank again,I'm so happy to finally read the spectacular end of the Existence Trilogy.I waited so long to read this book and I have to say that it was definitely wort it.

Let me begin by saying that the first chapter was very confusing but once I realised what was going on it was a piece of cake.I loved the fact that all the characters were present in Ceaseless. We saw Miranda and her "new boyfriend" Nathan,Gee,I absolutely adore her,Pagan's ex and only boyfriend Jay,a total j*** and of course Leif which despite my first impression proved to be such an a**.It was so disheartening.

As far as our main characters were concerned,Dank and Pagan have matured so much.We also "hear" new songs by him.I loved the way that after having gone through so many difficulties they finally succeded to find their happily ever after.

As much as I would like to read more, say a fourth book,I'm happy that everything turned out well.I have to admit that there was a scene that I got worried but I all went well.

I have nothing else to say other than that you should definitely read this book. It's worth reading and a must read. It's won't disappoint you!!!

Blurb:

Can he make her fall in love with him… again?

When Pagan Moore proved worthy of Death’s devotion, he was given the gift of getting to keep her.

But Dank was never promised that Pagan would keep him.

When a soul is created, so is its mate. In every lifetime those souls find each other. They complete the other’s destiny. It’s time for Pagan’s soul to choose if she truly wants an eternity at Death’s side or if she wants the mate created just for her.

Dank didn’t think he had to worry about her choice. He knew where her heart belonged. Until he realized that every kiss, every touch, every moment of their time together would be washed from her memories. He would have to win her heart all over again and prove to her soul that he was where she belonged.

If only her soul’s mate wasn’t right there standing in his way.

Dragon's Moon (Children of the Moon #4)
by Lucy Monroe

Playing to Win (Play by Play #4)
by Jaci Burton

And I also want to start (Her Angel #1) series.

On the wedding day of Snow White (Ginnifer Goodwin) and Prince Charming (Joshua Dallas), the Evil Queen (Lana Parrilla) arrives and delivers an ominous threat about a powerful curse she intends to release upon them. Some time later, a pregnant Snow White is worried about the curse and visits Rumplestiltskin (Robert Carlyle) who issues a prophecy that the Queen's curse will take them all someplace terrible where there will be no happy endings. He also reveals that Snow White's unborn daughter, Emma, will return when she is 28 years old to rescue them, thus beginning the final battle with the Queen. On advice from the Blue Fairy, Geppetto (Tony Amendola) and Pinocchio fashion a wardrobe from a magical tree which will allow one person to escape the Queen's curse. Prince Charming intends for Snow White and their unborn daughter to use the magic tree to escape the curse, but Snow White goes into labor and gives birth to Emma just as the wardrobe is about to be completed. On the day Snow White gives birth to their daughter Emma, the Queen's curse strikes. Prince Charming places their daughter in the magic wardrobe, but is grievously wounded battling the Queen's henchmen. The Queen stands triumphantly over Snow White and Prince Charming as the curse takes them to "someplace horrible."

Check it out....Sure you will love it!!!

Primal Law  (Alpha Pack #1)

By J.D. Tyler

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

“Because the perfect moment can never be improved, and should be remembered, cherished, just the way it was. Like every moment I spend in your arms.”

Wow!!What a great book...

Primal Lawit's the first book I read by J.D. Tyler.I generally love books with supernatural creatures and especially shifters. So,I thoroughtly enjoyed this book.

All the characters were so perfect.I loved the attraction between Jax and Kira.Jax is a member of the elite Alpha pack team. When Kira steals essential information from her job her boss sents man to kill her and take back the stolen info. But before they succeed in their goal,Jax saves her by shifting and killing them. And Kira has seen toon much.

An amazing book with a nice flow!Although I really liked Primal Law I would have liked to read more of Jax and Kira's story. It wasn't a quick story but neither was a long one.

I definitely recommend this book and I'm looking forward to reading Savage Awakening.

Howl For It

B y Shelly Laurenston , Cynthia Eden

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

An amazing anthology including stories by Cynthia Eden and Shelly Laurenston.

Like A Wolf With A Bone By Shelly Laurenston

“This one’s not in here for the fight,” the deputy explained.
“She’s not?”
“She was trying to stop it.”
“Then why—”
“She’s in here for doing a hundred and ten in a thirty mile per hour zone.”
“I was just . . .Seeing what your car could do.”
“And it can do a hundred and ten?”
“Apparently.”

I really liked Dee-Ann's parents story.Eggie Ray Smith and Darla Mae are the exact opposite. But you know what the say about opposite...

Darla is on vacation. But nothing goes as it should have. After being attacted by humans and rescued by a wolf,Eggie, she ends up in Smith territory. There she gets close to Eggie,a very misunderstood wolf.I adore him. After spending time together they realise that they are meant to be together and there their adventoure begins.

I really liked the fact that they both trust each other so much.It was easier to read the story knowing that there was mutual trust and love between them. Moreover,it was an incredible story filled with humor, action and lots of fights.

Wed Or Dead By Cynthia Eden

"Thanks. I’d prefer to die only once today.”
“Only you didn’t die!Dammit, I was crying over you.”
“And that was really sweet,I was touched that you cared—”
She tried to grab him through the cage bars.

A short novela about a wolf shifter and a hunter.

After Kayla's family was slaughtered by a wolf, she promished to avenge them and so became a wolf hunter. But she never expected this...

Her next assignment is to get close to an Alphain order to kill him. Gage is an Alpha who will stop at nothing to save his pack. That is until he meets Kayla. He knows her plan from the beginning but that doesn't stop him from taking what he wants.

A stupendous story with amazing characters bound to enthrall you...

I totally recommend Howl For It and I'm looking forward to reading more books by those two extraordinary talented authors.

Blurb:

"Like A Wolf With A Bone" by Shelly LaurenstonQuiet little Darla Lewis couldn't be happier when the most-feared member of the South's rowdiest pack kidnaps her. A girl gets real tired of being overprotected by her own shifter family, and there's nothing like an oh-so-big bad wolf to start a pack feud, unleash her instincts--and have her surrender however and whenever she wants. . .

"Wed Or Dead" by Cynthia Eden
Gage Ryder knew his human bride had a wild side. But spending their honeymoon night on the run from hunters out to finish him and his pack is sure not the kind of fun he was looking forward to. No problem--Gage will do whatever it takes to lay bare Kayla's secrets and find the truth. If he can keep from being captured by his own seductive game. .

Fear The Darkness By Alexandra Ivy

Fear the Darkness  (Guardians of Eternity #9)

By Alexandra Ivy

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

“You’re, without doubt, the worst liar I’ve ever met.”

“Hey.”

“Trust me, that’s a compliment, pet,”-Caine and Cassie

Fear the Darkness is the ninth book in the Guardians Of Eternity series.I wanted to read Cassie and Caine's story for so long a time.

Cassie is one of the four were quadruplets. Each sister has finally found happiness and it's time for Cassie to do so as well.Once a mere cur,Caine, has now become a pure blood were.Actually, this happend in Beyond The Darkness so I would suggest you read all the former books before reading this one.

After escaping from the cave Cassandra was being held, she and Caine head to Las Vegas where one of her visions,oh did I mention she's a prophet?,showed her that something important will occur. When their task there is completed they leave and fall right into a well organised trap.

I loved Cassie and Caine's story.Although it wasn't as humorous as the previous books were and I have to add that this book needed more Levet. In Fear the Darkness we only see him four or five times. But in the end he is the one that will save them all from the demon Lord.So why should you read it?The answer is simple.Lots of sexy vampires, werewolves, witches and one to-die-for hilarious gargoyle.

I'm looking forward to reading Darkness Avenged the tenth book in the series,Santiago and Nefri's story, available in June 1st 2013.

Blurb:

Her Visions Lead Her To Danger

Beautiful Cassandra is a Were, a prophet both vulnerable and defiant, blessed with visions that portend the fate of the world. A rare and delicate creature, Cassie must be protected at all costs. Enter Caine, a powerful cur turned pureblooded Were whose recent tangles with a demon lord have left him in serious need of redemption. Caine is duty-bound to keep Cassie out of danger—and that means resisting his potent urge to seduce her.

And Only He Can Save Her

As Cassie's mysterious visions lead them in and out of danger, Caine believes he has found his true mate, the woman with whom he is bound for all eternity. Cassie is both charmed and frightened by Caine's magnetism, and unsure if he—or her feelings for him—can be trusted. But Cassie can't afford to doubt Cain now. A deadly enemy bent on destruction is closer than they realize—and only they can keep chaos from ruling the world.

Foretold: 14 Tales of Prophecy and Prediction

By Richelle Mead

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

“Don’t you believe in fate, Roza?”
“Sure.Just not in your grandmother’s crazy vague predictions.”
“Doesn’t sound that crazy to me,”
“You’re as crazy as her.”
“I had a feeling you’d say that.”-Rose and Dimitri

Well,I'll start by saying how much I had missed Rose and Dimitri as a couple.Although we have seen glimpes of Dimitri in The Golden Lilyit's not enough to satisfy our "hunger".I really liked this short story, though,I wish it wasn't short.

Dimitri and Rose are back to Russia. After everything that they went through it's time for a vacation.Dimitri's family is anxiously awaiting him and when they finally see him they forget all the pain they had to endure when Rose had told them what had really happend to him.But there's a new threat and so Dimitri and Rose "volunteer" to help the folks eliminate it.

I thoroughly enjoyed Homecoming and I wish Richelle Mead wrote more short stories about them...

In Foretold: 14 Tales of Prophecy and Predictionthere are also another 13 more short stories from which I only read five

The Angriest man,Improbable futures,Death for the deathless,Fate and Homecoming. Here is a list of the other stories:

Gentlemen Send Phantoms By Laini Taylor

Burned Bright By Diana Peterfreund

The Angriest Man By Lisa McMann

Out of the Blue By Meg Cabot

One True Love By Malinda Lo

This Is a Mortal Wound By Michael Grant

Misery By Heather Brewer

The Mind Is a Powerful Thing By Matt de la Pena

The Chosen One By Saundra Mitchell

Improbable Futures By Kami Garcia

Death for the Deathless By Margaret Stohl

Fate By Simone Elkeles

The Killing Garden By Carrie Ryan

Bleed For Me By Cynthia Eden

Bleed For Me  (Loved By Gods #1)

By Cynthia Eden

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

“And who might you be, my lovely?”

“Terese Lafitte.”

“It’s a pleasure to—”

“Cut the shit and stop hitting on her,”- Apollo

Another 5 stars for Cynthia Eden.

Bleed For Me is the first book in Loved By God series.Although it is a short story,it definitely isn't boring.

Apollo, the God of the sun,is bored and hanging out in Are's bar,the God of war.Terese Lafitte needs blood and the only way to get it is to find a willing host. And who's better than a God?The biggest irony of the story is that they are both shocked when they realise that their partner isn't human.Well and the fact that the God of sun got paired up with a vampire. What can I say!You can't choose whom you fall for.

Bleed For Me is a story of romance and full of funny moments as well.Especially a certain scene between Apollo and Ares. What I really liked though, was Poseidon.Poor him!He wants so bad to find his mate that in his attempt to do so becomes agitated. In this book we also meet Artemis,Apollo's sister.

I absolutely recommend this book and I look forward to reading the other books in the series, especially Poseidon's.

Blurb:

The Greek gods are alive and well. But, unfortunately for the gods, the humans have all but forgotten their glorious existence…and this fact really pisses off the all-powerful, immortal beings.
Apollo, the Greek god of the sun, takes one look at the mysterious Terese Lafitte and knows that he wants her. Even in this modern century, a god takes what he wants. But Terese isn’t a mortal, not any longer. As a newly turned vampire, her attraction to Apollo is downright lethal because desire arouses not just her body, but also her bloodlust.

But Apollo likes a woman with bite, and now that he’s found Terese, he’s not about to let the little vampiress out of his sight or out of his bed. When Terese’s psychotic vampire ex begins to stalk them, Apollo knows that he will have to use all of his strength to keep her safe. Lucky for Terese, Apollo has more power than she could ever have imagined.

When you trifle with the sun god, you will get burned.

Girl of Nightmares  (Anna #2)

By Kendare Blake

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

"If I let go of Anna’s hands, she’ll forget me. She’ll forget everything except what lies across that field. It will all be gone. Her murder, and her curse. She’ll forever live out the life she should have had. The one we might have had together, if everything had been different. This place lies. But it’s a good lie." -Cas

Girl of Nightmaresis the second book in Anna series.Well, first thing first,I have to say thatGirl of Nightmaresis so much better than the first book was.Although I hate to admit that there were times that I got bored and wanted to read something else.

Nevertheless, one would expect Anna to play some major part in this book as well but the truth is that she only comes into the story in the last four or five chapters. Her absence though, has made Cas nostalgic and all he thinks about is her.Hence, some scenes from Anna Dressed in Blood are repeated.

The characters seem to have matured more and thus the story is more believable. For example,Cas is no longer the man a woman would consider a gift to womankind, which is good.In Girl of NightmaresCas is struggling to cope with Anna's loss and there are times that he gets so obsessed with her that his distraction intervenes with his ability to hunt and kill ghosts. Moreover things get also confused for Thomas and Carmen...Not going to say more.

I really liked this book and I can finally say that I'm hapy for Anna that she found the peace she so much more than anyone deserved.I definitely recommend this book to anyone who has previously read the first book in the series.I'm looking forward to reading the following book.If there is any.I hope there is!

Blurb:

It's been months since the ghost of Anna Korlov opened a door to Hell in her basement and disappeared into it, but ghost-hunter Cas Lowood can't move on.

His friends remind him that Anna sacrificed herself so that Cas could live—not walk around half dead. He knows they're right, but in Cas's eyes, no living girl he meets can compare to the dead girl he fell in love with.

Now he's seeing Anna everywhere: sometimes when he's asleep and sometimes in waking nightmares. But something is very wrong...these aren't just daydreams. Anna seems tortured, torn apart in new and ever more gruesome ways every time she appears.

Cas doesn't know what happened to Anna when she disappeared into Hell, but he knows she doesn't deserve whatever is happening to her now. Anna saved Cas more than once, and it's time for him to return the favor.

The Host By Stephenie Meyer

The Host  (The Host #1)

By Stephenie Meyer

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

“I held you in my hand, Wanderer. And you were so beautiful.” -Ian

Wow!!What a stupendous book by an incredible author...

Well I guess you already read the blurb which is very important as it holds the main story of the book. Here are the most signigicant part:

Our world has been invaded by an unseen enemy. Humans become hosts for these invaders, their minds taken over while their bodies remain intact and continue their lives apparently unchanged. Most of humanity has succumbed.

It's an amazing book. The author has created a whole new world which everyone lives in peace with each other but with what cost?Humans no longer exist.

Melanie belongs to the resistance. In other words she is one of the many humans that believe that these aliens have invaded our world and stole our lives. When Melanie gets caught by the Seekers, the healers decide it would be better if they gave her body in a soul that is capable of unlocking Melanie's memories. So they put Wanderer in her.But not everything goes as plant.Although Wanda can see some of Melanie's memories she can also hear her voice. Not good.Initially she is shocked by this fact but as time goes by they both become accustomed to each other. But Melanie wants both her body and family back.So when an extraordinary Seeker keeps following her,Melanie and Wanda know what to do.They try to find her brother and love of her life,Jamie and Jared.Nevertheless, none of them know what to expect of such a journey and surely what they find is beyond what they were looking for.

The Host was beyond anything I was prepared to read.It had so much emotion in every and each page.Especially the second half of the book. There was a variety of characters, each with its own personality, most important of whom were:Jamie,Melanie's brother,Jared,Melanie's boyfriend,Jeb,Mel's uncle,Ian ad Kail, two brothers that both tried to kill Wanda but as the story evolves they reconsider,The doctor,a real doctor which tales care of them but can't really do much considering the circumstances. There were so many characters and all were unique.I thoroughly enjoyed reading about them.

The Host is a must book.I definitely recommend it to anyone interested in this kind of books. It was a new experience for me as well,as it's the first time that I read such a book.I would like to read more though. There are some that say that Stephenie Meyer will write two more books for the series but nothing's sure. Here is the potential title of the second and third book:The Soul and The Seeker.

Blurb:

Melanie Stryder refuses to fade away. Our world has been invaded by an unseen enemy. Humans become hosts for these invaders, their minds taken over while their bodies remain intact and continue their lives apparently unchanged. Most of humanity has succumbed.

When Melanie, one of the few remaining "wild" humans, is captured, she is certain it is her end. Wanderer, the invading "soul" who has been given Melanie's body, was warned about the challenges of living inside a human: the overwhelming emotions, the glut of senses, the too-vivid memories. But there was one difficulty Wanderer didn't expect: the former tenant of her body refusing to relinquish possession of her mind.

Wanderer probes Melanie's thoughts, hoping to discover the whereabouts of the remaining human resistance. Instead, Melanie fills Wanderer's mind with visions of the man Melanie loves - Jared, a human who still lives in hiding. Unable to separate herself from her body's desires, Wanderer begins to yearn for a man she has been tasked with exposing. When outside forces make Wanderer and Melanie unwilling allies, they set off on a dangerous and uncertain search for the man they both love.

Pushing the Limits

By Katie McGarry

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

"I heard a rumor."
"What's that?"
"It's your birthday.Happy birthday."

Pushing the Limits was such a great book. For months now,I have been reading numerous reviews about this book.Actually, many people have recommended it to me and after seeing for myself its success I couldn't but read it.

I loooooved this book.

Although I have read many books of the same genre,I believe that this book should have its own genre.I really liked the plot and the flow of Pushing the Limits. It was such an emotional book. It's so rare to meet characters like Noah and Echo.Noah was so mature for his age and despite the difficulties of his life he tried to deal with his problems even if the decisions making them were hard.I got very emotional when I finally read what really happend with his brothers and though it was the right decision to make it still hurt.As for Echo,I can't imagine something like that ever happening to me.

I don't have much to say other than that you should definitely read this book. It's an incredible book which describes the lives of two mature adolescents with a tragic past but with a bright future.Nevertheless I can't wait to read Beth's story in Dare You To.

Blurb:
No one knows what happened the night Echo Emerson went from popular girl with jock boyfriend to gossiped-about outsider with "freaky" scars on her arms. Even Echo can't remember the whole truth of that horrible night. All she knows is that she wants everything to go back to normal. But when Noah Hutchins, the smoking-hot, girl-using loner in the black leather jacket, explodes into her life with his tough attitude and surprising understanding, Echo's world shifts in ways she could never have imagined. They should have nothing in common. And with the secrets they both keep, being together is pretty much impossible.

Yet the crazy attraction between them refuses to go away. And Echo has to ask herself just how far they can push the limits and what she'll risk for the one guy who might teach her how to love again.

Stygian's Honor (Breeds #27)

By Lora Leigh

My rating: 3 of 5 stars

“Sometimes, I feel as though I’ve never been real,”

I've been waiting so long to read this book and I'm so disappointed.I don't know even know where to start from.Stygian's Honor was such a confusing book.I got lost so many times...There was so much drama in this book that I haven't ever seen in any other book.

Let's begin with the two main characters.I envy Stygian so much...I don't know where he got his patience from but I would like some for myself.I really hated Liza or should I say Honor?Well I'll use the name Honor because I like it better.I understand the fact that she had a horrible childhood but Stygian's was by far worse than hers.Did you see him having breakdowns or complaining? No.I just couldn't keep reading her about her constant whining and her attitude.I got so frustrated. Moreover,it was so tiring trying to keep up with the plot and Honor's exaggeration and drama. In my opinion,Stygian deserved better than her.

Considering his past,I have to say that he became a very strong man that no matter the circumstances protected and cherished those he loved. The thing is,that I could definitely feel his love towards Honor whereas felt nothing of her.

I was expecting so much from this book. For one thing,I wanted to see Amber healed. She's just so little and I love her and her parents.I especially loved a scene where Amber snitched on Jonas. Here's a taste

“Don’ call me ’itch, Da.”
“Then don’t snitch on Da,”....So cute.

Nevertheless, this is my opinion.I'm not discouraging anyone fom reading Stygian's Honor, especially if one has already read all the previous books of the series. The only thing that I'm hoping is that the next book be much better than this one was.

I'm also looking forward to reading Claire aka Fawn and Gideon's story.

Blurb:

Window Rock, Arizona, is the last known location of Honor Roberts, who vanished when she was just thirteen. It was her only sanctuary from the Breed research that would surely have ended in her death—one such insidious experiment should, indeed, have killed her. That she lived is both a miracle—and a great mystery.

Stygian’s mission is to find Honor Roberts, no matter the cost. Now, with the help of Liza Johnson, assistant to the chief of the Navajo Nation, he is closer than ever to his goal. But will the discovery of Honor Roberts mean the destruction of the mating heat that has developed between Stygian and Liza?

The Ghost Of Graylock By Dan Poblocki

The Ghost of Graylock

By Dan Poblocki

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

The Ghost of Graylock is a ghost story for children ten and up.What initially drew me to this book was the mazing cover...Sad but true!!!

Neil and Bee,aged twelve and sixteen respectively have unwillingly been sent to spent their summer with their aunts.Their mother has fallen into depression and all Neil can think about is their mother's recovery.

In the small town of Hedston lurks, indeed,a ghost.Once upon a time, there was an asylum for children, the Graylock Hall, located in the woods. It was said that a nurse, murdered three children under her care by drowning them in the lake.Neil and Bee set off to explore the asylum along with two local boys.

This is a first for me,as I have never read this type of book again. The Ghost of Graylock is a book with vivid description and it is also detailed. But it's not only the ghost story that dominates the book but Dan Poblocki also describes the danger the children are in as well as the bond between the two siblings.

Well, this book was a delightful surprise for me and I absolutely recommend it.It's a nice ghost story with solid characters and plenty of suspense.

Blurb:

Does an abandoned asylum hold the key to a frightful haunting?

Everyone's heard the stories about Graylock Hall.

It was meant to be a place of healing - a hospital where children and teenagers with mental disorders would be cared for and perhaps even cured. But something went wrong. Several young patients died under mysterious circumstances. Eventually, the hospital was shut down, the building abandoned and left to rot deep in the woods.

As the new kid in town, Neil Cady wants to see Graylock for himself. Especially since rumor has it that the building is haunted. He's got fresh batteries in his flashlight, a camera to document the adventure, and a new best friend watching his back.

Neil might think he's prepared for what he'll find in the dark and decrepit asylum. But he's certainly not prepared for what follows him home. . . .
Scary, suspenseful, and surprising, Dan Poblocki's latest ghost story will keep you turning pages deep into the dead of night.

Touched

By Cyn Balog

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Touched started with a promising beginning.I really liked its original plot. It's something I rarely read which made the book more intriguing.

Ever since he was born,Nick's head has been "inundated" with what he calls memories but little does he know,is predictions of his alternative futures.Nick picks a future and then follows every detail his memories have shown. If he,however, changes something, then his future changes as well and usually for the worse. If he makes a mistake or forgets to to do something then he is swapped by images of his future, which isn't just one but but many.In order to be able to fuction again he must choose one and follow the above steps.

There are also times that he can't tell the difference of what's real and what's not, with result to mention things that haven't occured yet.

All these change, when Taryn comes into his life. With just a touch, the voice inside his head stops and he feels normal again.Taryn and her grandmother possess the Book of Touch, which allows Nick to to see the future. Why has Taryn come into his life now?Can Nick protect the people around him by changing his futureonce again???

I really liked this book.It made me realize how even our smallest actions affect our future. How our decisions influence both us and the people surrounding us.Touched is a book that will help you understand who and what you really what to become.

Blurb:

Nick Cross always listens to the voice in his head. Because if he doesn't? Things can go really, really wrong. Like the day he decided to go off script and saved a girl from being run over . . . and let another one drown. Trying to change the future doesn't work.

But this summer at the Jersey Shore, something's about to happen that Nick never could have predicted. He meets a girl named Taryn and finds out about the Book of Touch. Now the path that he thought he was on begins to shift . . . and there's no way to stop things from happening. Or is there?

In a life where there are no surprises, nothing has prepared Nick for what he's about to discover--or the choice he will be forced to make. . . .

Onyx  (Lux #2)

By Jennifer L. Armentrout

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

“Say it.”

“Say what?”

“Tel me what you told me earlier.”

“I love you.”

“That’s al I ever need to hear.”

“Those three words?”

“Always those three words.”

Wow!Wow!Wow!

Just finished Onyxand I'm like "What the hell just happened???".I want more.I want to read Opal right now. It's so unfair that we have to wait so long between the publication of each book. It's just a torture.

Onyx begins with an intence scene between Daemon and Kat (Well,to tell the truth the whole book includes intence and full of electricity scenes).

Things have really changed since Obsidian. Our characters have further matured, some more than others, and there is a new boy in town.Weird things happen to Kat,like doors opening on their own.All it takes to save them all is trust. But how can you trust someone when you don't know what is true and what a lie???

Onyxhas all a book should have.It has romance, action,a what-just-happened moments, regrets, pain as once again old wounds are opened, betrayals and even death.Trust plays a significant role in our heroes lives.

Like mentioned before this book is a must read, must have for every shelf and a must-give-5-stars book.I absofuckinglutely recommend Onyxto everyone and I can't wait to read Opal.I can only hope for December to come soon enough.

Blurb:

Being connected to Daemon Black sucks…

Thanks to his alien mojo, Daemon’s determined to prove what he feels for me is more than a product of our bizarro connection. So I’ve sworn him off, even though he’s running more hot than cold these days. But we’ve got bigger problems.

Something worse than the Arum has come to town…

The Department of Defense are here. If they ever find out what Daemon can do and that we're linked, I’m a goner. So is he. And there's this new boy in school who’s got a secret of his own. He knows what’s happened to me and he can help, but to do so, I have to lie to Daemon and stay away from him. Like that's possible. Against all common sense, I'm falling for Daemon. Hard.

But then everything changes…

I’ve seen someone who shouldn’t be alive. And I have to tell Daemon, even though I know he’s never going to stop searching until he gets the truth. What happened to his brother? Who betrayed him? And what does the DOD want from them—from me?

No one is who they seem. And not everyone will survive the lies…

And here's a taste of Opal:
No one is like Daemon Black.

When he set out to prove his feelings for me, he wasn’t fooling around. Doubting him isn’t something I’ll do again, and now that we’ve made it through the rough patches, well... There’s a lot of spontaneous combustion going on.

But even he can’t protect his family from the danger of trying to free those they love.

After everything, I’m no longer the same Katy. I’m different... And I’m not sure what that will mean in the end. When each step we take in discovering the truth puts us in the path of the secret organization responsible for torturing and testing hybrids, the more I realize there is no end to what I’m capable. The death of someone close still lingers, help comes from the most unlikely source, and friends will become the deadliest of enemies, but we won’t turn back. Even if the outcome will shatter our worlds forever.

While It Lasts  (Sea Breeze #3)

By Abbi Glines

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

“You see somethin' ya want, baby?"

"Maybe. I'm checking things out. Seeing if I'm interested,"

"I see something I want,"
"You do?"

"Hell yeah, I do,I love chocolate."

What? His arm reached out beside me and took the piece of chocolate cake I'd brought him.-Eva and Cage

While It Lastsis the third book in the Sea Breeze series. This book tells Cage York's story.Cage is sent off to a farm for physical-shirtless labor due to a DUI charge. In order to keep his baseball scholarship,Cage must not only behave but work on the farm as well. But come on guys...It's Cage we're talking about, can he really behave???

Eva,the farmer's daughter, has lost her to-be love of her life and even after a year and a half she still mourns him.Cage is immediately drawn to her.Although he keeps making mistakes he tries hard to form a relationship with her deeper than any other he ever had.

I found this book to be a little different than any other book I have read by Abbi Glines. It may be the fact that she didn't beat around the bush or that there weren't many boring monologues.I thoroughly enjoyed this fact.I H-A-T-E boring never-ending monologues.Of course, like always and in every book Abbi Glines has written,I couldn't not mention the easy connection created between the characters and the readers. It's not something easily found.Though,I have to say that emotion is also dominantly present. You had me in tears just from the prologue.

The characters had both had bad experiences, even in such a young age,but they both managed to find a balance despite the circumstances.Cage was confident, patient, compassionate and understanding while Eva was emotionally shattered but still maintained kind and considerate.

I definitely recommend this book. It's an enjoyable summer read for those who love a good romance. Also, those who have read Because of Lowshould absolutely read it.I'm looking forward to reading the next book in the series(currently untitled Sea Breeze #4)

Blurb:

Maybe driving home after a few (or more) shots of tequila had been a bad idea, but hell, he did it all the time. The cops had to have been freaking bored to have pulled him over. He wasn’t even swerving! That’s Cage York’s story and he’s sticking to it.

Unfortunately, his baseball coach isn’t buying it. Cage has a free ride to the local junior college for baseball -- or he did, until he’d gotten a DUI. Now, Cage has to decide: does he drop out and give up his dream of getting noticed by a college in the SEC, and possibly making it into the Major Leagues -- or does he give in to his coach’s demands and spend his summer baling hay?

Eva Brooks planned out her life step by step when she was eight years old. Not once over the years had she lost sight of her goals. Josh Beasley, her next door neighbor, had been the center of those goals. He’d been her first boyfriend at seven, her first kiss at ten, her first date at fifteen, and her first tragedy at eighteen. The moment she’d received the phone call from Josh’s mother saying he’d been killed along with four other soldiers just north of Baghdad, Eva’s carefully planned life imploded in the worst way possible.

Cage isn’t real happy with his closet-sized bedroom in the back of a foul smelling barn, or his daily interactions with cows, but he knows that if he doesn’t make his coach happy then he can kiss his scholarship goodbye. Only a sick and twisted man would decide his punishment was to be working on a farm all summer. No hot babes in bikinis waiting to meet a Southern boy to make her vacation complete. Just him and the damned cows.

Oh -- and an uptight, snarky brunette with the biggest blue eyes he’s every seen. But she doesn’t count, because as hard as he’s tried to charm her out of her panties - he’s pretty sure she’d rather see him hung from the rafters than let him get a taste of her pretty little lips.

Insanity  (Asylum #1)

By Lauren Hammond

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

"No...

I don't care what the staff tells me.

I. Am. Not. Crazy." -Addy

I Think that words aren't enough to describe what what I really feel for this book.

Insanity is a stupendous novel and a real challenge to readers. There were times that it was so difficult to tell the difference between what's real and what's not.Especially the final chapters were so vague and hazy.

Addy had the perfect life. That is until her mother "left" when Addy was 10 years old.Her father became an alcoholic and began abusing her both physically and emotionally.I'm utterly disgusted by him.He would beat her down and call her names and all because she looked like her mother. The thruth is that when I finally read what had really happened, the only thing that came to my mind was what a pathetic excuse of a man he was,a lowlife.

The story had many twists or so I thought because the main character,Addy, was the narrator and anything that happened before and during her life in the asylum was described by her.Although we don't get to see why she got to the asylum,we see some pieces of her past with Damien, who I can't say loved but surely liked. He is so romantic. Here's a taste of him "Addy, living one day without you would never be for the best. I want you every minute of every day. Forever. I love you.”

She is so obsessed with him that even in the asylum all about she thnks is him.I think that what she saw when she was just 17 has stuck with her even though she has forgotten everything else.

She seems to believe that her life hasn't progressed since Damien's horrible death but it did. She's so lost,I don't know why as the book doesn't elaborate what she did in order to end up in the asylum, which is so messed up.The only thing that I liked of it was Dr. Watson who later reveals his true identity. His so patient and caring.I bet no man in the world would do what he did for Addy. He's awesome!!!

I loved this book. It's just insanely awesome!I definitely recommend it to anyone and I can't wait to read the folllowing book,White Walls.

Blurb:

Sometimes love...can drive you crazy.
Adelaide Carmichael and Damien Allen couldn't be more opposite.
Adelaide's mother abandoned her when she was ten years old, leaving her to be raised by her abusive and alcoholic father.
Damien on the other hand came from a wealthy family, was a local celebrity, and seemed to have a bright future ahead of him.
Despite their differences, Adelaide and Damien were young, wild, and fiercely in love.
And they had a plan.
They were going to run away.
Be together forever.
And their plan was set in motion, until tragedy struck and for some reason, Adelaide wound up in The Oakhill Institution for the insane.
Adelaide has no idea what she did to wind up at Oakhill, but she knows one thing for sure...
She wants out.
And after Damien follows her there to aid her in escaping, Adelaide slowly begins putting together the pieces of her memory that are missing.
And it doesn't take Adelaide long to figure out that sometimes...
That one true love never dies.

Sovereign Hope By Frankie Rose

Sovereign Hope  (The Hope Series #1)

By Frankie Rose

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

“You can't have 'ass' as a word. You're supposed to put down words that you know relate to Oliver.Like hockey. Or six pack.Unless you're commenting on the fact that he has a really great ass, in which case ewww, but okay.” -Farley

Sovereign Hope is an amazing book. Not only do I love the cover but the story was also very enjoyable and easy to read.

The charactres were mature enough and I truly liked that. What I mean,is that they weren't too serious nor were they behaving like brats.Farley was awesome but yet had some flaws which made her more believable as a character.Daniel,Oh my God,is perfect.Especially when he finally lets the walls around him come down.I had so much fun reading about them, they made me smile countless times.

In Sovereign Hope,Frankie Rose has created a whole new world of paranormal creatures. The Reavers in this world, are the most powerful immortal creatures and also the villains.Which doesn't sound so original but yet it's important for the prophesy to be fulfilled.

All in all,I absolutely loved this book. The story is told in a 3rd person point of view which is beneficial for readers as we get to see what every and each character is thinking.

I definitely recommend this book and I'm also looking forward to reading Eternal Hope, the second book in the series.

Blurb:

Everyone has a soul

Some are just worth more than others

Farley Hope was seventeen when her mother disappeared. In the last six months not much has changed, except that her eighteenth birthday came and went and still no sign of Moira. Her life is just as complicated as it always was. Since her father died in a car crash before she was even born, she’s officially parentless, and to top it all off she’s still suffering from the hallucinations. Mind-splitting, vivid hallucinations- the kind prone to induce night terrors and leave you whimpering under your covers like a baby.

The last thing on her mind is boys. Farley is on break from St. Judes’ when she meets Daniel. It’s not some casual run in at a party, or even a blind date with friends, though. Daniel is the guy following her in his 1970′s Dodge Charger; the guy standing at her window in the LA lunch hour traffic, trying to persuade her to leave everything behind and follow him. And he's hot as all hell.

The moment Farley lays eyes on Daniel, everything changes. He is cold and withdrawn, but there are cracks in his harsh veneer- cracks that betray the secrets he is trying so hard to hide. Farley is drawn into a world that will shake apart everything she thought she ever knew. There are truths out there that she must learn: that a person’s soul is their only real currency, and there are people who would do anything to take hers; that loving someone can hurt so much more than hating them; but, most importantly, when your future is predestined, there is little you can do to change it.

Farley Hope is prophesied.

Her coming has been awaited for hundreds of years.

She is destined to end the tyranny of the Soul Reavers.

To do so she must die.

Entwined

By Heather Dixon

My rating: 3 of 5 stars

"If your sisters come to your wedding,my lady,it will only be to murder me."
"Well at least they will be there."

Entwined is the remake of The Twelve Dancing Princesses with some....twists!!!

The eleven princesses are in mourning. After giving birth to the twelfth princess,Lily, their mother has died. The princesses are wretched...In a time that nothing matters but to protect each other, they discover a secret magic passage that leads to a world of beauty. But this beauty comes with a price...

Before reading this book,I thought that I would love Entwined but as it turns out I didn't really enjoy it.Although the cover is beyond amazing, the characters are very boring.I didn't feel the instant connection I usually feel when reading similar books.I'll just say that this book wasn't for me.

Nevertheless,I read a few reviews and many people actually liked it.I can't say that I recommend this book but not everyone has the same taste...So feel free to read it.

Blurb:

Azalea and her younger sisters dance in the mysterious silver forest every night, escaping from the sadness of the palace and their father’s grief. What they don’t understand—although as time passes they begin to get an inkling of the danger they are in—is that the mysterious and dashing Keeper is tightening his snare with deadly purpose. Luckily, Azalea is brave and steadfast. Luckily, a handsome young army captain also has his eye on Azalea. . . . Lush, romantic, and compelling, this debut novel by Heather Dixon will thrill fans of Shannon Hale, Robin McKinley, and Edith Pattou.

Mirage  (Winterhaven #2)

By Kristi Cook

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Mirage is the sequel to Haven. It begins just a few weeks after Havenends.

It's the senior year for Violet and she wants nothing more than be with Aidan agian. But not everything goes as planned...A vampire is on the loose, murdering innocent people. One would think that in such occasions people stick together but in Mirage everything has reversed.Friends stay away from each other and not everyone is what they seem to be.

I liked the characters and the relationship between them. They are both strong and Aidan is sooooo enigmatic, you can't get enough of him.The secondary characters were also good.Despite the drama between them and Violet.

Nevertheless,if you have read Haven and want more, you should absolutely read Mirage.

Blurb:

Seventeen-year-old Violet McKenna is back for her senior year at Winterhaven, and thrilled to be with Aidan after a long summer apart. But when a violent and disturbing vision begins to haunt her, Violet suddenly feels unsure of everything: who to trust, if she is in danger, and—worst of all—whether she and Aidan are really meant to be together.

Bloodspell  (Bloodspell #1)

By Amalie Howard

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

'Love is a breeding ground for betrayal. Guard against it.”-Christian

Bloodspell is the first book I read by Amalie Howard.I really liked this book.I liked the fact that Victoria was so independent and I also liked Leto, the cat that made her see that not everything was lost.

Victoria Warrick likes to have controlof things but being on the verge of graduationand finding out about the powers she possesses, which she cannot always control, isn't her cup of tea.And on top of all, meeting Christian Devereux and learning that a relationship between them cannot be sustained is the tip of the iceberg.

I loved both the main and the secondary characters. They were all used throughout the book. What I mean is that in many books, the main characters get the majority of the book while the secondary ones are just mentioned so as the reader not to ger bored.

I'm so into vampires this period(who am I kidding???Love them) and it was so invigorating reading a book that combined both vampires and witches.

I definitely recommend Bloodspell and I'm looking forward to reading Bloodcraft.

Blurb:

The spell was simple...

Cruentus Protectum (Defend the Blood)

But what do you do if your blood is your enemy?

Victoria Warrick has always known she was different. An outcast at school, she is no stranger to adversity. But when she receives an old journal for her seventeenth birthday, nothing prepares her for the dark secrets it holds -- much less one that reveals she's a witch with unimaginable power.

What's more, when she meets the dazzling but enigmatic Christian Devereux, she has no idea how much her life is about to change. Enemies will hunt her. Friends will turn on her. The terrible curse that makes her blood run black will stop at nothing to control her. And Christian has a sinister secret of his own...

Without knowing whom to trust, can Victoria survive her blood's deadly desires? Or will she lose everything, including herself?

Slumber  (The Fade #1)

By Samantha Young

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

“You're going to get us killed."

"Well, since you got us kidnapped in the first place, I think it's only fair.” Rogan and Wolfe

A lovely romance story!!!Slumber is the remake of Sleeping Beauty with a few twists...

Background story..

Rogan never dreamed a life like this. After witnessing the murder of her family,Rogan is taken by Stovia(the murderer) along with other children with abilities like hers. When the royal family learns what Stovia is doing with these children they sentence him to death.Rogan, along with the other children,is raised in the palace.Threre she becomes best friend with the princess,Hayden.

Present...
A disease takes hold of Hayden and Rogan begins a journey in which she must find the cure to wake Hayde up before time runs out.But with the responsibility to save the princess, who will protect her?The answer comes from Wolfe Stovia, head of security and son of her family's murderer.Rogan intents to find the cure alone but when Wolfe makes her choose(or rather demands)either she go with him or not at all the choice is made.

And so the journey begins.A journey filled with pain, horror,an abduction but hope and love too.

Slumber is the first book I read by Samantha Young and I'm quite impressed by the whole new world she had created in this book.A world full of magic but yet deprived of affection.I liked many things about this book like the way Lady Rogan and Captain Wolfe ended up together, the adventures which were presented in each and every page, the romace between Hayden and Matai, all the secondary characters(just perfect) and above everything else I liked the fact that this book seemed so real.Slumber has everything a reader might want.
I definitely recommend this book to everyone as it has action, many adventures and romace.I ca't wait to read the following book in the series Sneak Thievery.
