Because of Low

By Abbi Glines

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Because of Low was a really cool, fun, hot, romance story. This book is a sequel to Breathe.Although,Marcus didn't get the girl in the previous book,in this he will.

I'll start by saying what I liked of the book:

Willow Montgomery or "everyone calls me Low" is the nicest, sweetest, kindest girl in the whole world.Everything she does is selfless and since her mother died nothing good has ever happend to her. When her mother died of cancer, her sister took everything they had, treated her like trash and above everything else that b**** told Low that if she wanted to keep living in the house she had to babysit the child she unexpectedly had with some *stranger.Marcus has ,as well, family problems as his father decided it was time he lived his life.

They found each other at the most difficult part of their lives and tried to comfort one another.Of course, what they hadn't counted was their families.

I really liked their story, they both were caring and compassionate, they had to deal with tough stuff but nevertheless managed to remain together.I also looooooved the second characters Cage for example, was awesome. In the begging,I wanted to hate him because he kept ruining Low and Marcus's moments but as I kept reading I understood why he did the things he did and moreover I LOVE him, for always being there for Low even when she had nothing and no one he was there,he never left her *cough cough*.I also liked Larissa,Low's niece, she was too clever for her age and really cute(I guarantee that you will fall in love with her).Preston, one of their friends was a real friend to both of them,Amanda,Marcus's sister and finally Sadie and Jax.Oh yeah we see them a couple of times and have to say that they are still the best couple ever.

What I didn't like:

I HATED Low's sister(can't even remember her name) and Marcus's father(I can't even start saying how much I hated them) and thus I didnt really liked the end.I mean I liked the end for Low and Marcus BUT not for those two.In my mind, they are both dead and Low and Marcus get to keep Larissa and Live the three of them in the new, shiny house Marcus's dad bought.

Having finished,I have to say that I totally get the messages of the book that Love will survive no matter what and that abandonment is really hard.I highly recommend this book to everyone who have prior read Breathe.I'm looking forward to reading the next book in the series While It Lasts.

The Vampire Stalker

By Allison VanDiepen

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I can't believe it..

This book is a dream that has come true.I mean who wouldn't wanttheir book heroes to be real?I had it quite a while in my to-read self but hadn't noticed it until two days ago.

The story takes place in Chicago:

Amy Hawthorne is a seventeen year old book lover waiting to read "The Mists Of Otherworld" written by Elizabeth Howard. The book begins with Amy and her friends,Luisa and Katie, waiting outside of a bookstore in order to buy the book.Meanwhile we learn(by Amy's knowledge)Alexander's life story.Alexander is a young man whose family was murdered by Vigo. So, Alexander wants to take revenge by killing Vigo. After reading Elizabeth's book Amy is frustrated as the author doesn't reveal whether Vigo was killed or not.

After the school dance,Amy,is attacted and a man who is looking like Alexander saves her.At first she doesn't recognise him but when he introduces himself and shows her evidence about who he is,she is convised.

The adventure to kill Vigo and find out the truth about how their are in her world begins. They both want answers about how the author knows so much things of Alexander's world, how to find Vigo and what is going to happen when he's dead.

I really liked the book,in my opinion everyone would like to have their heroes with them.I loooooved both the main and second characters as no matter the obstacles they stuck together and tried to deal with the situation. The book also had some really amazing scenes, surprises and was full of laughter.

I recommend this book to everyone who all they ever wanted was to have his/her heroe with them.

Chasing Nikki

By Lacey Weatherford

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Wow..!!

Chasing Nikki was an incredible book.I looooooved Chase and how strong he was despite all the tragedies life brought on him.He managed to recoved throught all the pain and make himself the person Nikki new he could be.Not only did he survived but he also managed to thrive in the end.

It's so hard to write this review, because I can't stop crying.LIfe is so unfair for some people and Chase certainly one of them.I understand the message of the book "Life is short and unpredictable so live it to the fullest" and I totally agree but I can't accept the fact that someone can really continue after all those things.I know why he could but others wouldn't.I wouldn't.

Chase,is a teenager whose father recently died and decides to deal with his pain by taking drugs and consuming alcohol. After his mother bails him out of jail she decides it will be better if they move. And so they do.New environment is really what Chase needed. He meets new people, makes new friens and encounters Nikki.Nikki and Chase are much alike,so it's not difficult to become more than friends.Although, when they first meet she misjudges him later she understands her mistake.

And so it begins. They go out a lot, spent time together but he never pushes for more.Time passes but they still survive, they dream their future together they make plans and life for once is beautiful.Until tragedy strucks.

I won't say more than that I would never expected the end.I have no idea how Lacey Weatherford managed to write the book,I had to stop every two seconds to grab another tissue and clear my eyes before being able to read again and repeat the process more than a dozen of times. The book cannot be read without having at least two boxes of tissues.Nonetheless,it's the third book I read from only the boy's Pov(yeah..the book is written only in Chase's Pov) although there is a scene where we see things from Nikki's side.

The book is a very emotional one,it broke my heart seeing Chase so hurt ,destroyed and devastated by his own feelings.I guess DEATH can do that to people especially after loosing one you love. The Scene that gets 5 stars though,is the letter scene.I swear I spent a whole box of tissues only for that scene. To be able to look inside her heart was what he required to continue living,to see how proud she was of him,she was the only reason he pulled through the nightmare(because that's what his life was). The only thing I really hated was the Epiloque. It was insulting not only for him but for me too. Recommended it to every boy out there as well as to every romantic heart.

Dragon Bound  (Elder Races, #1)

By Thea Harrison

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

This is the first book I read by Thea Harrison and I have to admit that I really enjoyed it.Dragon Bound (Elder Races, #1) is the first book in Elden Races series that will definately take your breath away.

Dragon shifter Dragos,is the most powerful Wyr and he rules New York City.Nobody can defy him,as he is the oldest, wiser and can't be compared with other shifters. So,when a woman shows up and steals from his treasure he is determined to catch her.Pia Giovanni is half human and half Wyr, able to hide her existence from other Wyr in order to protect herself. When her ex-boyfriend blackmails her to reveal her true nature she is forced to steal from Drago's hoard.Although he is infuriated, the moment he meets her he understands why is did it and offers her a bargain.Unable to refuse his generous offer, she accepts.

Both Dragos and Pia are thrust into a dangerous world of magic and have to deal with other dark creatures as elves, witches and goblins.

I was very impressed by the way the author managed to create a whole new world full of magic, shifters and other supernatural creatures. The electicity between the main characters was obvious as was the fact that some men can be very possessive about what is theirs.Dragos is one of them,he was possessive, dominating but at the same time hot and dangerous. He is the type of man that he can have everything he wants but will sacrifice everything for his mate.

Nevertheless, the book was surprisingly good and I highly recommended to everyone especially the ones that love paranormal romance.Looking forward to reading Storm's Heart (Elder Races, #2).

Predestined (Existence Trilogy #2)

By Abbi Glines

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Ever since I read Existence I had this feeling that Leif would be the good guy he always seemed to be.This book was an incredible sequel to Existence.

When I started reading the book,my first thought was "Wow..Dank seems really possessive."I love how things have progressed between Dank and Pagan and how Dank is reacting to his own feelings, especially jealousy.

Firstly, the book starts with Leif missing and Pagan having nightmares about a boy who was always by her side when she needed someone to comfort her or save her when she was in danger. When Dank finds out about the dreams he knows something is wrong and so the story begins...

The story has a nice flow, scenes to die for,Gee quotes, voodoo stuff and a voodoo Lord Ghede, who is Leif's father and so on.Although the book is great, there was one scene that I wish it hadn't been, but everything turns out good in the end so I'm not going to complain. The book is recommended to everyone who has previously read Existence.Looking forward to reading the next book Ceaseless.

A Touch of Greek  (Out of Olympus #1)
By Tina Folsom

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

I loooooove Tina Folsom her books are amazing and have the ability to take you to the most exotic places. After reading Scanguards Vampires series I thought "Let's give this a try" and so I did.

Firstly,I have to say that when I started reading this book I was awed by the extraordinary scene provided in the first page.In the begging of the book we see Sophia at her early age playing with her cousin in the beach. Then after she loses one of her toys in the see she goes into the water and almost drowns but PoSeidon saves her and tells her to keep their encounter secret and in return she promises to let her play with his naughty son,Triton.

Years later, when Triton is cast out of Olympus for seducing Zeus'mistress, they meet at a bar and she decides that he is not the type of man she is looking for.But after having a terrible accident she stays virtually blind and needs care.Triton grabs the opportunity and takes the job in order to make her fell in love with him so that to be accepted back in Olympus and take his powers back.

The book is recommended to everyone. It is an incredible book that will make you cry but in the same time laught, too.Looking forward to reading  A Scent of Greek .

About That Night

By Julie James

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I've read  almost every book of Julie James but still I'm amazed by how well written her books are. They captivate you from the begging to end and you still want to read more to know how the characters cope with in the real life,to see how compatible the are. After reading A Lot Like Love I have to admit About That Night is a great addition to the series.

To begin with, the book starts with Rylann being with her friens in a bar and ordering drinks when Kyle sees her and "flirts" with her. When the time comes to leave she notices that her friend is missing and starts to panic but out of nowhere Kyle appears and offers her his phone. Then she learns that her friend left her on perpose alone with Kyle in the bar.Kyle plays the good boy and offers her to walk her home, after some resuasion she finaly gives in and accepts. I know it's just a walk but they both have fun so he asks her out again.(I guarantee, you will love the conversation)Later, when he doesn't show up in the date she finds out that the day of their date his mother had an accident and died.

Nine years later the come across where else but the court room. All goes well and Kyle is a free citizen after his "crime" of shutting down twitter for two days. The electricity between them is obvious as is the fact that they haven't forgotten each other.

The book is a must read that no one should lose.In the book we also see characters from the two previous books of the series such as Jordan, his sister, and her "boyfriend" Nick.I loved the book and I can't wait for the next one.I'm looking forward to it.

Lover Reborn (Black Dagger Brotherhood, #10)

By J.R. Ward

My rating: 2 of 5 stars

Ok...Where to begin with??I'll start from the end which was totally unexpected.I can't say I enjoyed the book cause that would be a lie but like the preview ones it had the element of surprise and romance a lot. But first things first,I'll begin with the main two characters Tohr and No'One or Autumn.I liked the couple BUT she was too forgiving, too generous, she let him do whatever he wanted, whenever he needed it and everything was about him,his needs and his feelings.I understand that after everything No'One went through it was too hard for her to see things as they were but she was given a second chance and no matter what she shouldn't waste it.Anyway, the end was amazing and they were perfect for each other. What I didn't like was the fact that he was so stuck in the past that he couldn't see that he was hurting her,he always thought about Wellsie even though she was long gone,he treated her badly and said horrible things to her,he was so MEAN.

However,we also see John and Xhex, who face problems too.Theirs are much simplier but they don't seem able to deal with them and so they spent most of the book being miserable.Wrath and Beth are doing great,as the other couples do.Qhuinn and Blay...I don't know what to say about them apart from "I HATE Layla".I wanted her to end up with Xcor but noooo she just had to do the selfish thing and doom both her and Qhuinn.
Nevertheless,I hope the next book to be a pleasant suprise and not a disappointment as it will be Qhuinn and Blay's book.
