Now, Mia is apprenticed to the deadliest flock of assassins in the entire Republic—the Red Church. If she bests her fellow students in contests of steel, poison and the subtle arts, she’ll be inducted among the Blades of the Lady of Blessed Murder, and one step closer to the vengeance she desires. Review: Up in Flames (Rosemary Beach #13) by Abbi Glines

Title: Up in Flames
Author: Abbi Glines
Series: Rosemary Beach #13

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Goodreads | Amazon | B&N | BookDepo
The villain of Rosemary Beach finally gets her own happy ending in the long-awaited final novel of the #1 New York Times bestselling new adult romance series by Abbi Glines.
The blockbuster #1 New York Times bestselling Rosemary Beach series ends with a bang when the troubled character readers love to hate gets her very own happily ever after in this eagerly anticipated and overwhelmingly requested story. Known for causing problems for everyone in Rosemary Beach, Nan has been growing up lately, and she’s finally taking center stage—and finding love with the man she least expected.
*Spoilers Ahead*

So Nan! What do I think about Nan? There was a time when I was with the #NanHater team and NO I’m not changing to the #NanLover team but instead, I’m creating my own team, #NanNeutral. I believe that everyone deserves a HEA but that does not mean that people have to like them.

I really liked Nan’s HEA. Nan and Cope definitely loved their HEA but some readers didn’t and that’s okay; we all have our own opinions. I definitely don’t feel that Nan deserved to be used the way she was by Major and I tried really hard to overlook it but it just felt wrong! I think that’s the moment that my feelings towards her changed. Nan is still a woman who despite everything she’s done, has feelings and can be hurt. I think Cope should have put an end to the Major situation when he moved forward with her. However, that was not the case and consequently more unnecessary drama followed.

What I really loved was Nan’s relationship with Nate, her nephew. She was very different with him and I really liked that side of hers, the vulnerable one. I’m also glad that she finally came closer with Blair! About time Nan!

Up in flames was great! I wasn’t sure what to expect and the blurb didn’t give much away but I wasn’t disappointed.

ARC Review: Rock Wedding (Rock Kiss #4) by Nalini Singh

Title: Rock Wedding
Author: Nalini Singh
Series: Rock Kiss #4

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Goodreads | Amazon | B&N

New York Times bestselling author Nalini Singh continues her Rock Kiss series with a hot, sweet, emotional contemporary romance about love and forgiveness…
After a lifetime of longing for a real family, Sarah Smith thought she’d finally found her home with rock star Abe Bellamy, even if she knew Abe didn’t love her the way she loved him. But their brief relationship, filled with tragedy and heartache, nearly destroyed her. Alone, emotions in turmoil, and already shaky self-esteem shattered, Sarah struggles to pick up the pieces in the wake of their divorce.
Abe knows he’s to blame for the end of his marriage. Caught in a web of painful memories, he pushed away the best thing in his life – the sexy, smart woman he adores – breaking them both in the process. Then fate throws him a second chance to get things right, to prove to Sarah that she means everything to him. Abe desperately wants that second chance at love...even if he knows he doesn’t deserve it.
But can he convince Sarah – now strong and independent without him – to risk her wounded heart one more time?
Rock Wedding was freaking INCREDIBLE!

Each book in the Rock Kiss series has been uniquely beautiful and Rock Wedding was no exception! I thoroughly enjoyed reading Abe and Sarah’s book!

If you’ve read the previous books in the series, then you already know that Abe and Sarah used to be married but due to Abe’s drug addiction and therefore erratic behavior, the couple separated.

People can’t change but they can surely try! Abe is now clean and after the disaster that went down in Rock Redemption involving Sarah, her (ex) boyfriend and Abe himself, Sarah just needs a break. Abe seems to have changed a lot in many aspects but is Sarah ready to take a chance and risk her heart once again?

I’m in love with Rock Wedding and Abe and Sarah and their HEA and everything in-between. Abe was a tortured soul who made a lot of mistakes, with his biggest one being pushing Sarah away! Their marriage was far from perfect and Sarah knows that Abe was not the only one responsible for their divorce. Now they both know better, they are more mature and confident in what they want. Now may be the perfect time to rekindle a fire that never died, if only they are willing to risk it all this time…

Rock Wedding is about what the title suggests: weddings. That’s right, not just one but many! We get to see all of the Schoolboy Choir members and their other halves including Gabriel and Charlotte.

Whether you loved or not the previous rock stars, Abe is just a man trying to find what’s missing form his life and that’s Sarah! Rock wedding is a must-read. Go read it 

Review: Buried and Shadowed (Branded Packs #3) by Alexandra Ivy & Carrie Ann Ryan

Title: Buried and Shadowed
Authors: Alexandra Ivy , Carrie Ann Ryan
Series: Branded Packs #3

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Goodreads | Amazon | B&N
Buried
Gibson Barton knows his Pack is on the verge of something they will never be able to prepare for: a chance at freedom. Yet when he’s finally able to open his eyes to what might be his fate, it could be too late.

As a submissive wolf of her Pack, Mandy Calhoun has always only watched Gibson from afar. Because of her fears, she hasn’t let her intentions toward him—or the other in her sights—be known.

Oliver Dare is the Foreseer of the Ursine Pack, and knows with each vision, his death is that much closer. Yet he cannot see his own future—or that of the two wolves who have been thrust into his path.

There is danger lurking in the den, and as the three learn to process their emotions and navigate their temptations, they’ll have to fight for something they never knew they had—or sacrifice it all for a purpose far greater than their own destinies.
Shadowed
Sinclair, Alpha of the Unseen Pack, is determined to destroy the Shifter Accommodation Unit. He understands that his people will never be free until the truth is revealed and their enemies are brought out of the shadows and exposed to the public. Unfortunately, the human female who has been secretly working with him has disappeared, and his priorities must shift slightly. He’s resolved to track her down, and not just because she has the information he needs.
Mira Reese isn’t stupid. She’s painfully aware that the sexy shifter she’s been working with has been using her fascination for him to gain access to the CDC computer system. But that doesn’t stop her from helping Sinclair. Not when it allows her to be close to him. But after the CDC kidnaps her, she realizes that this isn’t a game. She’s a potential savior for the future of the shifters—and perhaps especially the loner wolf who stirs her passions.
Buried

What happens when an Omega, a submissive wolf and a bear, that also happens to be a foreseer, feel the urge to mate? Denial, that’s what!

Mandy cannot believe that she, a submissive wolf, feels the urge to mate not with one but two strong shifters. She knows it won’t be easy but nothing good ever is. Mandy may be the submissive one but when it becomes apparent that both Gibson and Oliver are struggling to approach each other, she doesn’t hesitate to take matters into her own hands.

Buried is the first story in the series that features a mating bond between 3 shifters and it was ridiculously awesome! Mandy, Gibson and Oliver had a lot of issues to deal with, especially considering that Gibson only recently discovered his Omega abilities, but one thing that was never in question was their love.

At the end of Buried we also get to see some important changes regarding the Shifter Accommodation Unit which are further explored in Shadowed.

Shadowed

This is Sinclair’s story! I repeat this is the story of the ALPHA of the Unseen pack.

Sinclair may be a free shifter but he can’t rest until the SAU is destroyed and all shifters roam free once again. He is really close to collecting all the evidence needed to prove that it wasn’t the shifters that caused the virus but it was man-made. Just before he acquires the last piece of the puzzle though, he realizes that Mira, the computer genius who helped him get his hands on the evidence, is missing.

Mira has known that Sinclair approached her because of the computer skills from the beginning but that didn’t stop her from falling for him. Now Sinclair has come to save her but something has changed and Mira isn’t sure whether or not she can still trust him.

Sinclair was such a sweet but at the same time strong alpha. He thought he was fooling Mira while in truth he was fooling himself. When he thought that something might have happened to Mira because of his mission, he was determined to leave everything behind hoping to find her.

The Branded packs have been found innocent and they are now (almost) free to live again. But can it really be so easy?

ARC Review: Dangerous Protector (Red Stone Security #14) by Katie Reus

Title: Dangerous Protector
Author: Katie Reus
Series: Red Stone Security #14

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Goodreads | Amazon | B&N
She thought she was finally safe…
After two years of running Tegan O’Kelly could finally stop when the deadly gangster after her died. Eight months ago she put down roots in sunny Miami. For the first time in years she has friends, a job she likes and she can think about the future, not just surviving to the next day. When her car is bombed in broad daylight, she decides to stand her ground instead of running from her faceless enemy.

But a deadly enemy has her in his crosshairs…
Single father Aaron Fitzpatrick knew Tegan was trouble from the moment he laid eyes on her. Sexy trouble wrapped up in a petite, dynamite package he fantasizes about kissing far too often. So far he’s been able to keep his distance, but when he witnesses her car explode—with her close by—something protective erupts inside him. After his wife left him and their son five years ago, he’s stayed away from relationships and women, but he can’t keep his distance from Tegan. It’s clear she’s in danger and the more he learns about her, the more he knows he has to stand beside her and fight the danger hunting her.
Another great addition to the Red Stone Security series!

Aaron knows that Tegan is trouble but he can’t resist being around her. No matter their attraction, Aaron is not selfish and he would never hurt his son or Tegan by pursuing something more when it is obvious that Tegan has her own secrets. Tegan is sure that she has escaped the people that are hunting her – how could she not be when their leader is presumed dead.

When her car explodes mere feet away from her, Tegan starts questioning the information she has been given. So, as she is about to run once again, to protect the people she has come to care about, Aaron is there and unwilling to let her out of his sight until the danger has passed. Despite their scorching chemistry, could Tegan place Aaron and even worse his young son in danger?

This is the 14th book in the series and I really can’t believe how fast the series has developed. Dangerous Protector started off really great. We got to know more about our protagonists and their pasts and I also found it really sweet that the danger Tegan faces has brought them together instead of separating them.

Dangerous Protector was a fabulous addition to the series and even though I really liked Tegan and Aaron, I wish there were more scenes with Dillon, Aaron’s young son. I hope you see more of Callan, Aaron’s brother and Kimmy, Tegan’s boss.

Wow that's a lot of books! I didn't read all these books in just 1 week but 2! I've been MIA the past two weeks and that's because of my life outside the booking world!

In case you don't know, I'm a uni student and I've recently been given a HUGE opportunity that has brought me all the way to Australia. Now, the journey from Europe to Australia has been nothing but exhausting and I really needed a couple days to recover. With that being said, finding my way in the place I'm going to spend the next year has been quite easy - mostly because of how extremely helpful Aussie people are! My lectures will be starting this week so I'm still trying to come up with a schedule that will allow me to study what I love -english lit- while doing what I love -book blogging.

Moreover, I know that I haven't been as active for more than just the past 2 weeks but that's just because I was getting ready for my journey.

However, since I'm once again settled and able to blog, I have some surprises coming up for you guys - AKA Book Giveaways - so make sure to subscribe any way you wish or just make sure to check back soon - you definitely wouldn't want to miss on book giveaways! :)

What have you been up to? What books did you read this week?

P.S. If you want to follow my adventures in Australia, make sure to follow me on Instagram as it is the only place that I usually post personal pictures. I try to keep my blog book-related stuff only but I could always write a post here, if anyone would like. :)
