Wealthy businessman Gabriel Bishop rules the boardroom with the same determination and ruthlessness that made him a rock star on the rugby field. He knows what he wants, and he’ll go after it no-holds-barred.
And what he wants is Charlotte Baird.
Charlotte knows she’s a mouse. Emotionally scarred and painfully shy, she just wants to do her job and remain as invisible as possible. But the new CEO—a brilliant, broad-shouldered T-Rex of a man who growls and storms through the office, leaving carnage in his wake—clearly has other plans. Plans that may be equal parts business and bedroom.
If Charlotte intends to survive this battle of wits and hearts, the mouse will have to learn to wrangle the T-Rex. Game on.
"Not a T-Rex? I see some very sharp teeth."
A long expected book!

We finally get the story of the mouse and the T-Rex.

I loved the previous books but Rock Hard is the best book in the series so far. The plot may not be original, the shy heroine with a tragic past meets the protective alpha hero, but the author did an incredible job writing this story.

Former pro rugby player Gabriel Bishop’s career ended too early, due to an injury, but that didn’t stop him from succeeding in another field. Nowadays, his goal is to save failing businesses and making good money while at it. Charlotte, Molly’s best friend, is content with her job. What if the boss’s secretary is taking advantage of her skills and taking credits for her work. What if she’s extremely intelligent but no one realizes it. What if she’s hiding from everyone? Charlotte is content with her life…. is she?

So when a new boss takes over the company she works for, Charlotte is shocked when she’s promoted as his secretary. Even form their first “memorable” meeting, Gabriel knew that he wanted her for himself nut he couldn’t have her. Every time he approached her, she retreated to herself. Seeing the fear in her, warned him to stay away but not too far.

Charlotte is nothing like the women he’s used to dealing with so he will have to tread carefully if he wants to have a chance with her.

It’s his determination and his patience that made the book so incredible. Gabriel and Charlotte’s journey was sweet and funny but most importantly it was healing. I was afraid that Charlotte would never let her fears go but in the end it was she who faced her demons and won. I loved that it was Charlotte that overcame her fears and not Gabriel’s reassurance that he would keep her safe. I also loved the slow pace of their relationship. They’re really taking baby steps. Despite the slow pace though, it didn’t get boring but more interesting. I couldn’t turn the pages fast enough. Charlotte and Gabriel were always at each other’s throat.

Charlotte didn’t even realize how fast she fell for him. He was so patient and sweet. He fell for her from the moment she threw a stapler at his head thinking he was an intruder. His feelings grew even more as the months went by. Their relationship was beautiful.

Highly recommended!
